I asked politely about no hand sanitizer dispenser being by the front door (handles). The manager lady says, “We’re not required to do that. We supply soap and water in the restroom.” Well okey dokey lady.
On the next visit I was asking about the salad bar. “One time through, piled high was no problem” she said. Then, when I had a little potato salad left, and wanted to take it home, she said “no” that’s against our policy and there’s nothing I can do...read full review

Sterling's Famous Steak Seafood & Salad Bar - On The River offers a nostalgic 90s-style dining experience with a friendly staff and a salad bar that delights diners. The food quality and taste are mixed, with some dishes like the seafood bouillabaisse and cod being unremarkable, but the steaks are described as fabulous and the clam chowder as some of the best in town. The restaurant's riverside location provides a scenic view, and the staff is praised for their attentive service, especially when accommodating families with children.
Recent reviews highlight that this is one of the best places in Richland, with excellent drinks and outdoor seating that offers lovely river views, especially during spring and summer. The outdoor area can seat groups from 2 to 8 people, with larger groups accommodated on the right side. Inside, diners find a salad bar, and the large windows provide pleasant outdoor views even when sitting indoors. The menu is varied, making it a good choice for groups with different tastes or picky eaters. There is also an indoor bar and booth seating available. Parking is easy with spots in front or on the side, and after dining, visitors can enjoy a walk in the nearby park. Overall, the atmosphere remains welcoming and comfortable, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
