“If you go by the reviews, you’d think Mi Casa Cantina in the B terminal is a complete disaster. It’s not. And honestly, I don’t know what people are expecting—from an airport restaurant.
This is not a destination dining experience. It’s an airport stop. And for what it is, it does exactly what it should.
I was there for a 1 PM flight, airport was busy, and I was seated immediately. No wait, no attitude. I chose the bar, and the bartender was attentive, engaged, and easy to deal with—exactly what you want when you’re on a clock.
I asked for something quick and went with a carnitas bowl. It came out fast, was hot, and—surprisingly—really solid. The guacamole wasn’t some sad, over-processed scoop either. It had actual chunks of avocado, tasted fresh, and felt like someone made it, not squeezed it out of a bag.
And yes—it’s Seattle. It’s an airport. The pricing reflects that. But even there, it didn’t feel unreasonable for what I got.
That’s really the point. This place isn’t trying to be extraordinary—it’s trying to be efficient, consistent, and decent. And it delivers on that.
Some of these negative reviews feel wildly out of proportion. If you walk in expecting a full culinary moment, you’re going to miss what this place actually does well.
For a quick sit-down before a flight, with good service and food that’s better than it needs to be—it holds its own.“

“I wanted to really love Marina Mercantile. Made a Mother's Day Tea reservation. Our initial arrival was not welcoming and I was asked twice if I had a reservation. My mom, my daughter, and I waited an hour for our tray of treats. We were last to be served. People that arrived after us were served before us. We are the only minorities in the shop. It felt racist sadly or their service was extremely slow. The food was ok not the freshest tasting for a special Mother's Day event. Prepaid $200 with fixed gratitude and service charge. 🫤“

Princess & Bear Wines Wine Bar • $$
309 S Cloverdale St Suite A1, Seattle - 5.92 miles

“This is a little piece of southern France in an assuming location. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the wines from the Languedoc region, many of which you can’t find anywhere else. And the space felt clean and welcoming. They also have a lovely curated assortment of small bites to accompany your pairing.

When I visited, they had a local chef hosting a pop-up with suggested pairings, and they also have an event schedule for activities like trivia and karaoke. I can’t wait to come back and try their next rotation of wines and maybe sing a tune or two!“
