Super cool collection of masks and kimonos! My friend and I had a super long conversation with the owner about lost textile art that turned into AI taking over the world but the moral of the story is don’t lose faith. It left me with positive hope for the future without even seeking what I needed to hear. I highly recommend to stop by even if you’re not interested buying anything
Incredible shop. Beyond incredible selection of traditional Japanese garments and fabrics. It smells like history and Roland’s presence and knowledge is a true delight. If you love Asian garments, textile history, or just wildly beautiful things, this is the place for you!
Beautiful fabrics from japan including vintage silks, some repurposed into bags by the owner. He's knowledgeable and patient. If you're into sewing, this can be a hidden gem. There are also pacific northwest items, sort of as an add-on onto the focus on japanese fabrics.
