It's Thai, one of the best cuisines in the world. Portion sizes are American, price is Seattle, vegetable choices are a little different from Thailand as the US has more in season vegetable choices which are different but nice, taste excellent. I'll be back most definitely.
I don’t normally write reviews about places, but I just have to for this one. First off the owner(s) of this restaurant are so incredibly kind. I was sitting there for quite some time, and I never felt rushed to leave. The food is absolutely amazing also. They have a lunch menu that has affordable prices ($14 for a dish) Often times when it comes to affordable prices just based on past experience, I tend to think that that means they’ll be skimpy. We moved to neighborhood during COVID and I’ve been reluctant to try Bua 9 simply because I didn’t want to give up my favorite spots on Capitol Hill. Woah, was I stupid to have done so. The pad kee mao and basil fried that we ordered this evening (our first time there) were both wonderful. The pad kee mao in particular was super flavorful, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly.
