Cafe Kopi

Poor Cafe Kopi had to go out of business, apparently. I'm really saddened by this, but I admit that I didn't go often because of the wait and the fact that they closed too early in the day for me to be a laptop warrior there. I feel they were too ambitious if anything - such a small place, yet a very impressive menu. It must have been hard to keep up. I liked Kopi breakfasts and am sad to see the business closed but not surprised. The owner had perpetual staffing issues, and once I saw her working by herself during the busy breakfast rush while her employee came in late. She was usually working with only one other employee and frequently doing everything on her own. It's tough to find good staff these days and rents are skyrocketing so no wonder small businesses are struggling.

The breads and scones at Cafe Kopi are soooo good! I love the London Fog bread when she has it and all the scones are amazing. They're not too sweet, perfectly moist and always taste fresh. I'm never disappointed. The coffee is also fruity and delicious!
