Seafood and dim sum
粵菜中菜 口味道地,有不少特色的菜式讓人眼睛ㄧ亮
I've eaten here several times, but xmas day experienced my first food poisoning - 6 hours of nonstop vomiting. I tried contacting Joyale, but no response. Contacted the health department, who said that Joyale, over its last 4 inspections has had numerous severe red flag violations, and that their 'Fair' rating places them in the bottom 10% of King County restaurants for food safety. Joyale Seafood Restaurant in Seattle's Chinatown continues to offer satisfying food with big portions at good prices. While some recent reviews highlight mediocre dim sum and mention that the novelty of the push carts wears off quickly due to their infrequent availability, the restaurant is still recognized for its delicious Dim Sum service. The spacious parking lot under the building allows easy access, with an elevator taking guests directly to the second floor where the restaurant is located. The interior remains roomy, and it can be less crowded even during busy times. Customers have enjoyed dishes like pan-fried turnip cake, stuffed eggplant, and Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, which is noted to be fresh and crisp. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, assisting guests with gluten-free options and providing gluten-free soy sauce. The restaurant, owned by the same owners as the old Joy Palace, can host large parties and banquets effortlessly. A recent banquet dinner featured a seafood-centric set menu, including Peking Duck, Peking spareribs, Lobster Noodles, Jellyfish, and cold cuts. The 2-hour free parking and ability to accommodate events make it a convenient choice. The lack of wifi and poor cell signal encourage guests to socialize and enjoy the atmosphere. Special occasions can be enhanced by the lively lion/dragon dance show, adding a festive touch. However, some recent reviews indicate that service can be indifferent and that food quality may vary, with some dishes not being fresh or served at the right temperature. Despite these concerns, Joyale remains a popular spot for dim sum and family gatherings in Seattle’s Chinatown.
