The young man with the long hair typically has very apt descriptions of flavors and offers a pleasant smile to all he serves. Solid ice cream and seasonal specials!
It was our first time at Salt & Straw! Many places allow tastings before you choose your ice cream, but usually, the staff does get annoyed and treat you like you’re an inconvenience for wanting to taste flavors you’ve never had before. Salt & Straw had a cool, unique ice cream experience with many flavors, even crickets in ice cream. The staff were friendly, welcoming, kind and very nice and they had fun recommendations and helped with the flavor-selection process. The new location is well located, sparkling clean and had a good variety of flavors. The price is higher but such is life in a city like Seattle.
