I travel to Seattle about twice a year and I plan a visit to Taylor Shellfish each time. The seafood is fantastic. The geo duck is the main draw for me. It is alway sweet and briny and refreshing and delicious. It's a miracle. The bloody Mary is strong. Perfect. The service is stellar. I've only encounter a wonderful and informative crew here. I wish I had this restaurant in NYC. See you again.

Excellent selection of Oysters dealing exactly which area in the bays they all came from. Can't wait to be back!

While I like that the this is a local seafood supplier, the food is decent, but mostly standard. Nothing I've had has been bad, but nothing has been memorable or unique either. The raw oysters are probably the highlight.

This place was great. Had a group of 6 and the staff was accommodating. They were very knowledgeable and told us all about the local favorites and what is exclusive to the region. The chowder and oysters were our favorites.

Brad and Joe took great care of us. My wife and I feel like we got a master class in oysters and Geoduck. We loved the fresh and baked oysters, loved all the options to ping your pallet. The cocktails were great, we love the clam chowder, the fish and chips alone were worth the trip. Jimmy helped us with ensuring our drinks were full and the vibe was on par!

Went for tail end of happy hour and early dinner.
Tried a lot of things from the menu including salads, crab roll, fish and chips, leeks... all great.
BUT Standouts that I will absolutely return to have again: Geoduck sashimi and oysters (on the half-shell -- only did HH ones this time). Others in our party raved about the geoduck chowder (I didn't try because of dairy).
Wish I lived closer by, but will absolutely return when able.

The seafood here was okay, but honestly, it felt a bit fresher and tastier when I had it in Capitol Hill.
Maybe I’m just a little impatient, but it took quite a while to even get seated. Everyone seemed to be just sticking to their own tasks. Nobody really acknowledged me when I walked in. Eventually, someone showed me to a table, but it didn’t seem like my server even knew I was there. They were busy chatting with someone else and showed up pretty late.
On top of that, the food wasn’t as fresh as I expected, which was disappointing.
And then they automatically added an 18-something percent service charge at the end.
If you can, I’d recommend heading to Capitol Hill instead.

Yum! The pioneer square location is the only one with a fryer. Take advantage of the corkage fee- do a tasting at Browne beforehand & bring over a Cab Sauv Rosé or White blend. The fried oysters and oyster dip are MUSTs.
This place is so uniquely Seattle. Recommend oysters in months that end in 'ber. Would be very fun to do a wines tasting & dinner here before a concert at Wamu.
Staff are chill. We loved Vanessa!

We had a great time exploring the neighborhood and eating at the same legendary spot visited by Anthony Bourdain. Even though we arrived very late, around 7:12 PM with closing at 8 PM, the staff was wonderful and took excellent care of us. We loved everything we ordered, including the geoduck served both in chimichurri and a fantastic chowder, a delicious prawn cocktail, and a crab poboy paired with truly awesome fries. While everything was great, the chowder and those unforgettable fries were definitely my favorites.

I ordered a fish and chips order to go. Food was okay. I don’t eat tartar sauce but the tartar sauce they packed in the to go box was spilled all over my food making for a not so good experience… seems like they packed it haphazardly.i also asked for my fries to be well done and they were not…. It would have been a big inconvenience for me to drive back so it was waste. Not a good experience and since I’m just visiting Seattle I more than likely will not return when I come back for another visit.
Update 10/9/25….. I just realized that restaurant kept their word and refunded me for the food I ordered. I appreciate the speedy reply and their willingness to right a wrong… I can do nothing more than change my original review… thank you.

TLDR: Eat here.
I stopped in based on local Reddit reviews. I sat by myself at the bar and had one of my best meals ever. I’m a junior high music teacher from the Arizona desert wanting to experience PNW seafood. This spot was a highlight to the end of a fantastic day. The food was tremendous. I asked for only a few raw oysters letting the staff choose. They chose wisely! I wanted the whole Dungeness crab and upgraded to the jumbo for an extra $10. For a teacher on vacation this price was well worth it. What a treat. The only thing better than the food was the service. Monica, Dana, Victor, and Canon were exceptional. One is an accomplished new roofer with a talented local trumpet playing father. :) Thank you all for one of the best meals I’ve had anywhere. Take dibs on the sweater I may have left behind.
