Thai Place Restaurant Reviews
This restaurant is located inside Uwajimaya and is easy to find, as it’s near the back entrance across from the transit station.
We ordered the crispy garlic chicken and Singapore noodles. Overall, both dishes were just okay. The crispy garlic chicken was quite sweet and came with shredded cabbage. The Singapore noodles were stir-fried with egg, pineapple chunks, onion, and curry powder. I wouldd love some green onion as I normally got from other restuarant. The portions...read full review

Thai tea? I realized after a decade that it’s just okay. 3.5/4 star, usually on the sweet.
The pad kee mao (drunken noodle) is a bit oily but pretty solid, delicious. 4.5 star overall.
The green curry—4 star. Good but
Not crazy good. Overall, satisfactory. To whoever says “rude establishment,” bruh. Half of the Asian places I visit are “rude.” It’s about getting in and out. Westerners want to feel “loved.”...read full review

It’s a legit Thai place in the grocery’s food court area, it’s going to be the first one when you enter. There are tables near the entrance and more further inside the food court. The food was great.

Located in Uwajimaya, Thai Place Restaurant offers flavorful dishes and decent portions, although prices are slightly high. Regulars praise dishes like Penang curry, pad se ew, crispy garlic chicken, and phad thai. The family-owned restaurant has friendly staff, despite occasional curt behavior. Customers can request vegetarian options with tofu or vegetables. Recent reviews mention that the spring rolls and red curry with brown rice are very tasty. Some noted that packing can be poor, with liquid items spilling due to thin covers that may not handle weight, and one cover was damaged. There is some confusion about vegetarian labeling, especially for items like Thai fried rice, which contains egg according to the website but isn't always clear on delivery apps. The restaurant offers decent Thai food, including the dumpling noodle soup, but portions are small, and prices are a bit steep. The restaurant does not use compostable containers or utensils, despite city requirements. Overall, it remains a beloved spot for flavorful Thai dishes in the Uwajimaya food court.
