“I was excited to try a local food place and wanted something special for my birthday. First the guy taking orders outside seemed a bit grumpy. He kept saying he couldn't hear me from the passenger seat and I talk loud. He left to the next customer before I could tell him I wanted ranch. We got our food and shakes and the shake was good. But my onion rings were over done. The ranch was vinegary and unappealing. Even tho the rings were over done they were alright. Then I opened up my fish sandwich. I took a couple bites and it was pretty good at first and then I thought "this tastes funny." But I was so hungry I ate it anyways. My friend was about halfway through hers when she remarked... this tastes funny and I said yeah... it did. She thought it was her. I decided to call the restaurant and tell them and they asked me to bring it back so after we finished shopping I did. The owner came to the counter he seemed nice but also mad. Then he starts telling me he sees nothing wrong with the sandwich. I told him but it tasted fun. He asked like what and I said wet dog. It really did. I'm sorry but it did. I wasn't trying to offend him. But it wasn't right. He refunded my money but then I got home and gave the burger I got for my other friend to them and they were also not happy with the quality. I was so excited because I'd heard good things about this place and like I said this was my birthday dinner. I'm so disappointed. I hate to leave a review like this but it was weird that the owner wanted to argue about the quality of his food and seemed upset with the customer for not liking it.”

“My hubby and I recently visited for a date night and we were incredibly happy with the experience! Our server was wonderful, I believe her name was Candy, she was so kind and attentive. The food was great too! Definitely recommend the Wilde Onion and the Teriyaki Steak Bites!! The atmosphere was really unique and fun! Very happy to have this restaurant as another great local option! We definitely will be returning!”

“Shout out to Railroad Tap Station for going above and beyond! While in Shelton for the art walk today, we stopped for lunch and the staff was awesome at working with me and my extremely limited diet allowances. I can’t have tomato products or cheese, and they found a way to make me a yummy pizza. (And I have really missed pizza!) Thanks, and we’ll be back. 🍕”

“I ordered the birra quesadillas, they were okay. Not sure I would order them again. Husband ordered the beef burrito and it was HUGE and very tasty! Well money spent! The side of beans that came with mine were soooo good! There was actual beans in it, not just pureed slop! So much favor!!! They also came with fried jalapenos and they were so good!! We will for sure come back. Service was amazing as well!”

“Every time I’ve ordered from Westside pizza, pick up delivery in Shelton wa, the service is perfect it has that old school customer service like a mom and pop store very polite and helpful as I struggle with being in public or have bumped into rude delivery ppl. Pizza is also perfect in every way. I never usually write a review on anything but this place is definitely worth my time to show respect.”

“I met with someone today who wanted to learn about spinning on a spinning wheel I had for sale. I had never been to this shop, but we wanted to meet halfway between us, preferably at a locally owned coffee shop. We had a wonderful time, and the coffee was wonderful! And best of all, I found out after we were finished there are gluten-free treats!! I made a new friend today, and we hope to meet once a month. We would love to make this little shop a regular meeting point.”

“I was a barista for a long time and am kind of picky about where I go. It has to have a combination of good vibes, down to earth staff and good coffee. Java 101 has surpassed my expectations countless times. I stop pretty regularly now on my commute with my son and April is there every morning greeting not just me, but my almost 3 year old with kindness and a smile. She remembers his muffin order and makes my coffee just how I like it. When you work food service it can be hard to have a good attitude sometimes, but this stand and Aprils attitude have become an integral part of our morning routine. This tired mamma thanks you!!”

“The casino's fast food place. It still took over 30 minutes to get a rueben and tots. The rueben was very good. Tots are always good. For a Saturday dinner time, I thought it was a little slower getting food out. However, it was still faster than the one hour wait list at.the other casino restaurant.”

I did find it a bit discerning when I went to pay with 1 dollar coins the Barnstable said they didn't accept 1 dollar coins because there's no place for them in the register. Then she said that she wasn't sure that the bank would even accept them. I think they are still legal tender. Just think what she would have said if I had a couple of 2 dollar bills.”

“We came on a rainy afternoon without an advanced reservation, but called ahead and they said we could come by, as they had finished all their other appointments. Small indoor tasting area littered with maps of the grape regions and medals on bottles of wine. There was an outdoor patio with umbrellas surrounded by forest. Andy (the owner) was inviting and was engaging in conversation. Each wine was excellent, and we had tried other local wines that day. The sav blanc and syrah are delectable!”

“You can't go wrong with breakfast, lunch, or dinner here. Their prices are super reasonable compared to other places. $15 corned beef hash breakfast and a $7 Mary? Yes, please! The view of the lake is an added bonus. In the summer, stop by to sit outside lakeside with your meal.”

“I had dinner here last night, it was super busy and the staff was working their butts off, they were polite, stayed calm under pressure and the food was tasty! I think we’re lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant in our area. I could complain about the time it took to place my order and get my bill but I wasn’t in a hurry and I could see they were slammed and I understood that walking in. Great job to the people working! “Had chicken teriyaki lunch special with Gyoza. Was grilled and very good. I was pleasantly surprised. The lunch included a salad and 2 scoops of rice along with the chicken and 3 gyoza. Only thing I would day wasbthe gyoza dipping sauce was a little bland, but nothing soy sauce won't help. Good deal for the price.”

“I was there with someone who had sensory troubles with the music. I asked the bartender to turn the music down a bit and she did without judgement or inconvenience. The staff down there are always so friendly and attentive. Always recommend them for a good meal :)”

“Just wanted to give a shout out to Dairy Queen in Shelton. Their lobby was closed and we had a trailer so we couln't fit in the drive thru. They did not turn us away and let us place our order walking through. I have had to do this a few time in the past and was turned away from places in Tumwater (McDonalds and Taco Bell). Farm girls gotta eat too and majority of drive thru's are not big enough for trailers. Thank you so much for seeing our dilema and welcoming us. My dollars will definately be spent at your business and other places could use taking a page out of your book!”

“The best service I have ever received in a Starbucks! They had kind workers wandering the lobby starting up conversations with guests and giving free refills! They had a very genuine energy about them that was truly happy to be there and meeting their guests! The baristas new the locals, their orders, and took the time to connect with them! Blown away!!!”
