Ordered a chicken katsu & kalua pig and cabbage and a kalua pig & cabbage plate lunch. My wife is from Hawaii and I've lived there for many years. The L&L's here aren't the best. The best one is in Lakewood. There is no cabbage in the kalua pig, and the katsu is just ok. It has a different taste than what I'm used to and it's more fatty. I wish all L&L's operated under one owner and cooked all dishes the same like the original Hawaii...

L&L is consistently good across all the sites I've visited over the years. The chicken katsu is my favorite dish there, and I rarely deviate from it, but the short ribs are also excellent, and often what my friends get when we visit together. It's a national tragedy we lost the Lynnwood store some years ago, because the other locations are considerably south of Lynnwood. If you like chicken katsu, definitely give it a try, and do yourself a favor and get a Spam musubi...
