This is a reputable establishment. They really make a sublime sazerac. The staff kinda had pirate vibes but approachable.
The best Sazerac I have ever had. And I’ve had many more than two.

Proof is a cozy, warm restaurant in Tacoma with excellent food and beyond excellent cocktails. The best cocktails in Tacoma are found here, created by a cocktail master from 1022, Hilltop Kitchen, en rama. The cocktails are refreshing and delicious, with cheeky plays on beloved classic cocktails and drinking snacks. The menu offers a baby size of each cocktail, so you can try a few each visit. The Manhattans, the throwback Hilltop New Yorker, the gorgeous G&T, the lavender cocktail, the bourbon sour, the garlic potatoes, the prosciutto toast, and the elote waffles are all tasty. The location has a speakeasy vibe and is a unique and great place to have a cocktail and small bite while maintaining a good atmosphere. The staff is great, friendly, and knowledgeable. Proof is everything you’re hoping for in a neighborhood cocktail bar; it’s moody, sexy, and a genius way to use a space sustainably. The menu and experience both very much reflect skill, creativity, and a desire to deliver the highest caliber drinks to Tacoma.
