I like the Pizza because it is delicious and very consistent day to day, week to week. Preston and Jackie are super friendly and professional, they will usually remember your name when you come back. “The wait staff were VERY friendly and attentive, keeping my coffee cup brimming. The only thing that kept the entire rating from being a solid 5 stars was the chicken fried steak. While it was good, the seasoning seemed a little off from the traditional flavor that I prefer. I say this being a lifelong aficionado of chicken fried steaks. I'd eat there again in a heartbeat, however, but likely have something else from the menu.”

“Great Dinner! Scallops and Lamb were wonderful! Service was ok. It wasn’t busy, I waited more than ten minutes with an empty plate and drink before waiter finally came back. We ordered a second drink and were sipping on those, only had been 45 minutes since we sat, and another waitress brought us our ticket without asking if we wanted anything else?!! Felt like we were being rushed out. There were still seats available downstairs and the upstairs dining was empty when we walked out. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Dinner was delicious though! Would have enjoyed another drink though. 🤷🏻‍♀️”

“There is no food served here but there is an amazing food truck that is a winner in the city's most voted for. Chili Bluzs. Every Monday night is Meat Bingo. Play Bingo for a cause. There are sponsors for some great charities that have baskets of a variety of meat and other fun stuff to win if you can be the first to get Bingo. A full bar staffed by amazing women. A great night out for a great cause. Call for reservations though. They do require that with the participation so high. There are other nights with other entertainment. Go check them out!!”

This Papa Murphy’s location is run exactly how you’d hope — clean, efficient, and consistently turning out great pizzas every single time. The staff here have the process down to a science: quick greetings, accurate orders, and a smooth pickup flow that keeps things moving even when the place gets busy.

I ordered a large Cowboy pizza and it was perfectly prepped — fresh toppings, evenly layered cheese, and dough that bakes up golden and crisp at home. That’s the real advantage with Papa Murphy’s — you get the freshness of a made-to-order pizza, but it finishes off in your oven so it’s piping hot exactly when you want it.

The location itself is spotless and well organized. Ingredients on the prep line look genuinely fresh (not dried out or tired like some other locations I’ve seen), and they always get the order right the first time. Staff are upbeat, polite, and take pride in making sure your pizza looks great before it’s wrapped and ready to go.

For busy families or anyone who wants restaurant-quality pizza at home without the delivery wait, this is hands-down the best option in Clarkston. Reliable, quick, and always fresh — Papa Murphy’s keeps its reputation strong here.”

“We went to Roosters on a Monday afternoon. I ordered a mushroom burger and fries. My food was floating in grease. The bun was soggy with the amount of grease that was floating in the grease. The only thing that was nice was the view of the river. The restaurant is starting to look run down. The bathroom looked like it had not been attended to in awhile. This is sad because a couple of years ago I would have recommend this as a to go place. Prices have increased quite a bit”

“Mystic Café is one of my favorite coffee shops in Lewiston because it actually feels like an independent local place instead of another polished corporate chain.

The atmosphere is probably the biggest reason. There’s artwork everywhere, interesting decorations on the walls, multiple seating levels, and enough little details around the café that you keep noticing new things even after several visits.

One thing I’ve always enjoyed is the live music. On certain Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights they’ll have musicians or bands performing, and there’s even a piano inside the café. I’ve seen a pretty wide mix of local performers over the years, and it gives the whole place a fun creative energy that’s hard to fake.

As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series, I spend a lot of time writing in coffee shops while traveling, and places with actual personality always stand out more to me than perfectly polished modern cafés.

The layout is fun too because the café opens up more the farther you wander inside. Different seating areas, upper sections, little corners to sit in. It feels bigger than it first looks from outside.

The food and coffee have always been excellent, and the staff has consistently been super friendly and welcoming. Their hours have shifted around a bit over the years, so it’s worth double-checking before heading over.

Funny enough, creative coffee shops and music venues like this probably influenced parts of the atmosphere in the Paris Nights Romance Series more than I consciously realized while writing.

We walked in and were greeted with smiles, The serving sizes are gigantic, you definitely get a lot of food for what you're paying for and you're not really paying that much the pricing is so nice. I don't know how they came up with the fries they have but they are now my husband and I's favorite. They are like flattened steak fries. So good.
