The coffee itself is really good, but Black Rock in general could you some work on their mixed drinks. Upcharging me for whole milk when they should just be using it anyways to make lattes is annoying and they use half as much flavor as needed so you need to request extra, which is also an up charge. My drink ends up being almost $7!!
The service is great and everyone is nice, but dang, getting a drink made how the rest of the coffee places do it is expensive.
The people that work there are so nice and make great drinks.

Black Rock Coffee Bar is a popular coffee shop that offers a consistent and above-average experience compared to Starbucks. The espresso is some of the best in Vancouver, and the iced or frozen drinks are pretty fire too, including the Mai Tai with their fuel. The chai is also pretty good, and the drip coffee does not taste burnt like other places.
Black Rock ALWAYS has great customer service, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices can be high, but the experience is worth it. The Lavender Fuel is a treat, and they always have free pup cups available for dogs. The drive-through window is always open for easy access. Some locations are open as early as 5:00 a.m., making it a favorite spot for early risers. Although the food items can be a bit processed, the overall experience at Black Rock Coffee Bar is highly recommended, and customers hope to see more locations expand northward.
