“Visiting friends in Portland, they took us here for Breakfast. Loved the ambiance. After a 30-minute wait (we didn't have a reservation), we were finally seated and waited... and waited... and waited, eventually receiving our order after another 45 minutes. Two of three orders were wrong - I had ordered "The standard" - described as "the standard two eggs* with a choice of bacon or Zenner's sausage served with home fries or field greens and choice of toast". Got it with roasted potatoes. The waiter insisted that's how they would always come - but then served extra fries - and, to make up for the wait, comped us with some of the jummy sweet balls they show in their icon image. I found this nice, but also the only appropriate thing to do to save them from a two-star review. Because the server, whom I found uncharmingly stressed at first, really woke up and sped up his game, I would take the experience and try it again when we visit our friends next time. The place itself is very nice, and the food was tasty - and would under other circumstances qualify for four stars or more (if you have read my other reviews, you may remember that I am rather particular with five stars).“

“My brother and I went to the Cove last night and they got it right. Everything was excellent! I had the ahi tuna and my brother the scallops. Not a nite left. Even shared a dessert of butter cake ! Our server was awesome“

“Hands down some of the best and most attentive service.i have had from a restaurant, the food was amazing and the falafel is to die for. Their garlic sauce does not disappoint either. I highly recommend giving these guys a shot next time you crave gyros or middle eastern food. Think I may be a regular now haha.“

“I stopped by Lil La Oie for brunch and was completely blown away. The vibe is charming, cozy, and cute patio — the kind of spot you instantly want to spend every sunny Sunday afternoon at. I ordered the French toast with strawberries and clotted cream, and wow. It was more like a dreamy bread pudding than traditional French toast — perfectly soft and custardy in the center with a golden, slightly crisp exterior. Topped with fresh, juicy strawberries and the most decadent clotted cream, it struck that perfect balance between rich and not overly sweet. And then… the alligator sausage on the side. Yes, you read that right. Alligator! It was flavorful, just the right amount of spice, and cooked beautifully. A fun and unexpected treat that totally worked. The service was warm and attentive, the food came out quickly, and the portions were generous without being over the top. You can tell there’s real thought and love behind every dish. Lil La Oie is doing something special — definitely adding this to my regular brunch rotation!“

It was a great choice for our Saturday brunch.“

“Great ice cream when they’re open… but you never really know when they’re temporarily closed or they suddenly change their hours. Came to the store and it says open on google. There’s no notice on their Instagram page either that they’re closed today. Not our first time in this situation unfortunately.“

“Great food and nice workers. I have celiac with Lactose issues and love this place. They take precautions with the sushi and have gluten free soy sauce. They don't have many gluten free options but what they have is good though you might need to talk with them a bit to find out.“

“We love Crave and have gone there several times. The mac and cheese is beyond great. We love the pasta they use, and the sauce is amazing. I always have extra to take home too. Not your grandma's grilled cheese is another favorite. I personally don't understand the bad reviews. It has been so great every time we go we have been completely satisfied and have told management several times. Compared to a lot of places and fast food at the same prices, it is a no-brainer. “Wow! Our first time here. We came to meet our son's girlfriend for the first time and have dinner. everything was perfect, from the host seating us, to our server coming right over. Christian was our server and he was on point with literally everything. From drinks, checking in, bringing boxes, and friendly-ness! Couldn't be more impressed! We will be back for sure, lots of times! Plus the bartender made a perfect extra dirty martini. “The perfect local coffee shop experience. I've been here dozens of times over the course of a few years. The atmosphere is relaxing, perfect for casual meetings, reading, studying or just relaxing. Fitting ambient music, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and overall great atmosphere. The coffee is phenomenal, their house made roasts are delicious and their seasonal drinks never miss. The consistent quality of their drinks is hard to find anywhere else. Limited food menu so I don't recommend coming for breakfast or lunch, but the pastries and avocado toast are always a pleasant treat to have. Excited to see them open an additional location in Washougal.“

“I just ate here and had the General Tao’s Chicken—absolutely delicious! One of the best teriyaki places I’ve been to. The chicken was perfectly crispy with a great balance of sweet and spicy in the sauce. Even the side salad stood out—fresh, crisp, and flavorful, which is rare for a quick teriyaki spot. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving something tasty!“

“My wife and I enjoyed the charm and nostalgic ambiance of Willful Wine at the Grant House, especially with its unique location inside historical 1850's era building on Officer's Row at Fort Vancouver. The hostess was very welcoming. Staff was very friendly and helpful with our wine selection. My wife and I ordered their sharable charcuterie board, a house salad, and wine as a mid-afternoon refreshment after attending a historical presentation at the Visitor's Center. Everything was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised to have beautiful live piano music serenade us both as we enjoyed sampling their wines and cheeses. Willful Wine has a good selection of pinot noirs, red blends, and other wines served by the flight, glass, or bottle. They also offer classic signature cocktails. As a scratch kitchen, there is limited selection. We look forward to returning to try other menu items.“
