“Have been eating Taiwanese snacks and breakfast from Small Eats for the last 2 years every time I visit the Vancouver Farmer Market. The co-owners are super sweet and I love that that they source their ingredients locally and can make most of their items vegetarian. My favorite item is their fantuan (rice roll) that has pickled vegetables, veggie floss, purple rice and other stuff inside. My partner who is not Taiwanese, loves it too. I also love their dan bing (savory egg crepe with sprouts), which comes in a large portion and feeds 2 people.I recently tried their food from the lunar new year pop up last weekend and it was amazing and reminds me of food from home!!! I got almost all their vegetarian items just to try it out and everything was super delicious!Vegetarian options: Almost every single item can be made vegetarian and they're all delicious! So far, I've tried their vegetarian fan tuan (rice roll), congee, bento box, dan bing (savory egg crepe), zhongzi (leaf wrapped rice with stuff inside) and 4 of their lunar new year pop up dishes“
“Feeling hot pot, but don't want the hassle of gathering a group of friends for all you can eat? Or simply just want good hot pot? Come here. I get the Taiwanese supreme every time because it has a plethora of different meats and delicacies. Always order a side of quail eggs. That meal right there will never disappoint. Don't forget about their other menu items like Sichuan soup and fermented tofu soup, they're great as well. The service is kinda of weird because they give you an iPad to order at the table. This makes it difficult to make special requests and substitutions. However, the servers if you can manage to get their attention.“
“We were there twice recently, one on March 2 and the other March 22. The first time was quite satisfying. Even though this restaurant was a relatively new addition to the mall, the food and service were on par with other locations such as Seattle, Bellevue and La Jolla. However, our later visit, with a 2x larger table than the first visit, seemed to show a service issue. The staff placed the ordered dishes wherever they wanted, which, at other DTF, they would ask where to place the dish on the table by asking the customers first. This caused unnecessary dish-passing immediately after an order was delivered. There was ample walking space surrounding our table, i.e., we were not in the side booth or window/corner tables. Food was consistently fantastic as high standard held by DTF.Kid-friendliness: Nice kid set“
“The bar was seedy in a comforting way, like I knew that we weren't getting robbed, the ppl who ran the place are way scarier. I wanted food because it smelled Wonder full. The lady the bartender lady was so sweet very attentive and accommodating how bartender treat the poor people is what determines whether or not I come back0“
“Nice old lady in the cart and there's a lot of options on their menu. I tried ordering the oyster on there, but they were out must be one of the more popular items. We ended up getting the honey walnut shrimp in the Taiwanese fried chicken. The only one that shrimp is really good with a lot of sauce which I really appreciated. The shrimp pieces itself was covered in quite a bit better, but surprisingly, I didn't bother me. It was actually really good the better of a soft inside and crunchy on the outside with the shrimp. The Taiwanese fried chicken is absolutely delicious. Season so well, and had a lot of flavor per bite. They were pretty thin slices, but the chicken was still pretty juicy.Highly recommend this food cart there sesame balls are also really good and they give you six per order.“
“Always pass by it, never noticed it. Really great smoothie flavors if you're craving boba teaKid-friendliness: Spacious I can see and hear my kid any corner of the dine in areaWheelchair accessibility: Right on 23rd Street can't beat!“
“Generally Chinese restaurant. They are ok. I like a Thai bubble tea. My son said Orange chicken is good, Tonkotsu ramen and vegetables noodles soup are okay. My Fung pao chicken is an average. But crews are kind and generous. I like they have vegan options.“
“I miss some of the popular Taiwanese sides like green onion pancakes from the previous location but Tasty Pot is a worthy replacement. I had the lamb soup and it was excellent. Lots of lamb slices, meatball, and fillings to fill you up and top-up on delicious broth to keep you eating for an hour more. I know there are AYCE Shabu places but you can fill up at Tasty Pot for half the price. We also ordered the dumplings which came with six. It's a reasonable deal but they were average. The lamb soup with vermicelli noodles at medium spicy was perfect though.“
