“Excellent whiskey bar. Good selection of whiskeys and full bar options with attention to detail and balance on cocktails. They take their cocktails very seriously which is appreciated. And atmosphere is unique— old library feel with brass book shelf wheeled ladders (for liquor though), leather seats, and large wood slated floors. Food was so so, but highly recommend for drinks.“

“Shout out to Riley, Hannah, Colleen, and Anna! All were super nice, knowledgeable and took the time answer questions. Riley did my tour of the Distillery and I told him I was not super knowledgeable about how whiskey is made; he was able to explain things in a way that I could understand. So if you (or a group) want to have a good experience and have some good whiskey go there“

“This is a hidden gem. Service was great. Enthusiastic and welcoming. Drinks were served swiftly and competently. Menu is conservative but still fun to explore. My club and French fries were satisfying. Was thrilled to see actual chicken meat in my sandwich and not sliced deli meat. Lots of real avocado, bacon and grilled thickly sliced sour dough made it a meal. Beet salad to start was dressed a bit heavily but delicious nonetheless.
This is a small space with only me and my 4 comrades and another party about the same size sat directly next to us. Why?
Would be nervous to see this place filled as I'd worry about hearing conversation.
My friends told me that both servings of garlic fries weren't hot. And my other friend did not get his requested avocado on his burger. Also, we were celebrating a birthday and don't think they serve dessert as none was offered.
Also, I assume you can park in motel lot for dining. If so, that's a bonus in NW!“

“I maybe had too high standards given the pedigree.
This is a lot better than matt's, a little better than botto's, but worse than the lost holy trinity bbq, and I don't know how to compare it to grassland because that place seems to want to sell everything besides brisket everytime i'm there for some reason.
On the ranking of 1: hill country destination, 2: good for austin (2010) 3: good for houston(2016), 4: dallas or lower, I'd give it a 3?
ideally whole bar thing would burn down and be rebuilt as a cafeteria line with a man slicing brisket right in front of you on a slab. The way it's running in the winter brisket's in danger of getting cold by the time your plate reaches you.
The lean brisket was a bit dry but great crust and the fat was great.
Egregiously they didn't include white bread pickles and onion in my to go order even though I specifically asked (and paid extra for bread?) which makes the entire meal an abject failure, like being served carnitas with no tortillas/salsa. I think the picked red onions are just a little bit sour for the total acid balance. I recommend bringing your own raw white onions and wonderbread from home.“

“What a great spot to hang out. Food and drinks are fabulous. Paydirt is dark and sexy with a huge selection behind the bar. Bartenders are friendly. Sitting outside is fun when the weather is right. Choice of food is awesome. Mexican, fried chicken, pizza, pho, it’s all good. Parking is street and we were a block away but not too far.“

“Great place. Great atmosphere and super good drinks!“
“We went at the end of the night. We kind of felt the workers were ready to go home. The pizza spot itself if small but there’s space to sit on the patio.
The pizza was so good. It’s just all very thin dough and the bad part is there’s a lot of burnt pieces on the crust so we just picked those pieces out.
If you want to get free water, you have to go through the bar right next to it .
Overall, it was a great time“

“EXCELENTE COMIDA Y PRECIOS“
“Not only did every drink I get from here absolutely slap, but there was a girl in pink, who went out of her way to find me what I needed in order to have a wonderful night. Every bartender that served me was polite and courteous, and made a wonderful drink.. if I could write service more, I would“

“Randomly found this place when the restaurant we wanted to go to was booked. I was very surprised that it was inside a hotel. The food was so good with great flavor combinations. And they made an excellent old fashioned and even a fancy mocktail! I would eat here again next time I see a show at the Keller center. And easy walk to the show.“

“The EastBurn has one of the coziest vibes I've experienced yet, paired with friendly, attentive staff and fantastic food. Coffee is hot and fresh and their hash dishes are the perfect jumpstart to one's day.
I got the Hash Brisket with the Side Bacon. The generous portions were steaming fresh, seasoned wonderfully, and felt like a good value for the price. I'll certainly be coming back to try out other selections off the menu and soaking in the hipster (affectionate) vibes.“

“The staff were so amazing here. They really cared about everyone enjoying their dishes and drinks. On top of the friendly staff the drinks were amazing! Didn’t stay for food but it looked yummy. We’ll be back for more soon!“
“Really cool space! They have a fun little play & dining area for kids. This area contains a little kitchen and an assortment of play food. Kids can also watch the planes take off.
Friendly service.
Food is tasty but the servings are rather small.“
