“The olives are a must have appetizer. The olives are the best olives I have ever tasted. They are marinated in lemon and orange rind, rosemary, basil, garlic. I had the meatballs which were loaded with flavor from the herbs. Great bar to sit at and have conversation with the bartenders. Very attentive to needs! This restaurant is popular due to the food being so good. You might want to make reservations or plan on a wait. Great ambiance! I would return every time I visited Walla Walla.“
“So good! Everything is cooked to perfection. You can tell they take their time and take pride in their food. Compared to "The Modern" a Chinese restaurant around the corner, is as bad as Ming Court is good. I can't wait to go back. My only regret, that I couldn't eat more. I would recommend to anyone craving Chinese food.“
“Great small bar. Apparently in the same location since it was established in 1941. Great atmosphere and patrons. Lisa and the owner are the only staff. It was Lisa who made the experience. She was amazing. Cheap beer and 2 decent pool tables check off all my requirements. Outside patio to smoke.Parking: Just a few spots out front, the entrances on each end were a bit hard to see clearly at night. Easy to handle for most. Poorly lit narrow street full of residential cars.“

“Made a reservation to celebrate my mother's birthday. The hostess I spoke to on the phone to book the reservation was friendly and informative. In oerson the staff was lovely and personable and the food was as delicious as always. Tried some new items that weren't on the menu the last time we went in, the cheese cake, and Mud Pie are to die for! Rode the bull before we left and laughed my butt off. I was reminded of my age the day after (seriously stretch and loosen up in the shoulders and neck or everything above the chest is really stiff for the next 2 days.) “Each time I gather in the MF area with friends we choose to meet at some point at the Upper 9! The place is always clean, the staff friendly, the food & drinks perfect! There is a larger indoor dining area, an outdoor dining area on the deck with a view of the golfing area, and a nice indoor bar between the two. They are very accommodating for small and larger groups. We have held planning meeting for 6-12 people and HS classmate events for up to 60+ people. We may make reservations months in advance, they push tables together for larger groups, bring on more staff, and handle us with ease! I have enjoyed eating there all times of the day. If you have not been to the Upper 9 for meals (including breakfast!) you have to stop in. “Fun little hole-in-the-wall tavern in Milton-Freewater, OR. I'm not an embiber but the daily food specials are my jam. More than just bar food. I like the soup and sandwich selections. I order off-menu. If they have it, they'll make it. Tip generously and the ladies backing the bar will treat you well. Slots along the perimeter wall give the place a real Winnemucca or Toppenish kinda vibe. Mostly, I like the location. It's next to my favorite tailor shop, shoe repair shop, and barber shop.“

The nachos will fill you up for days. The tater tots are so perfect and go with a cold beer so we’ll. Service is always good. Can be busy on weekends but they are well equipped to handle it.Some have complained that when they reopened after covid it was not as good as it once was, there was some truth to that but understandable after being closed for so long. They are definitely back to where they used to be. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a really cool local atmosphere.
