“I was visiting the are from Chicago, and I stopped in the morning on Saturday. I sat myself at the bar. There were two waitresses, both of them pleasant. I ordered a coffee and pancakes.

I have eaten a lot of pancakes in my life, but I can honestly say I have never eaten pancakes as good as this little place. They were hands-down without question the best pancakes I've ever had. Full stop. I would recommend them to my mother, my aunt, my lawyer, my accountant, anyone that enjoys eating should eady these pancakes. Theyre exceptional. I almost wish the waitress had warned me that I was about to have a life-changing experience.

Eating those pancakes was for me like when Dorothy steps out of the house into color in The Wizard of Oz. For a few brief minutes, I forgot about all the troubles and worries we face in this world because I was overwhelmed with a sense of syrup-laden joy. All seemed right with the world. It was a coffee-fueled spiritual awakening for $8. I will be telling my children's children about these pancakes, and I hope they pass it down for generations to come.

I look forward to the next 5 and a half hour train ride just to get another plate of these pancakes.
