Burger Restaurants near Saint Charles

“This is a dandy little truck stop. Unfortunately, due to water run off, the restaurant is closed. According to Pops, the owner's Dad, some heavy rains got into the basement, where the restaurant is located. Of course, the insurance company refused to pay .How the insurance company justifies this withholding of a claim pay is not right. The place is NOT in a flood plain and thus, " flood insurance" is not required. I hope the owner will perhaps run this issue past a lawyer who deals in such matters specifically; a general practicing lawyer who takes all sorts of cases, to keep his lights on, would not be a good choice.“

“I was in the St Charles location late Saturday 11/11/2023 evening around 7:45. The crew was cleaning up, getting ready to close when I came in and asked if they were still talking orders. Of course they said. I ordered the (Swiss Onions Melt) I believe it was called. Seriously, this had to be the Best Burger I have ever tasted. This, along with the excellent cheerful service, made this a very memorable experience. I stop in at this location almost every weekend in my travels from Owatonna to Whitehall WI. “It is absolutely one of those "hidden little gems!" I was sad to stop back in to find the restaurant had closed.? It had the most wonderful food and service! Love this place still!! I am thankful for the safe, little, truck parking here and so does my dog Mr Skittles!! Great hospitality, friendly atmosphere, and wonderful, unique, treasures in their gift shop!! It will always be my favorite little find while OTR truck driving!! Great job there owners!! I appreciate you!! God bless!!“

“The food is usually really good. Sometimes if you hit it on slow times the food or buns can get a little soggy. I really hate getting a burger that the ketchup and mustard are running out the bun. But I take responsibility for that. I should remember to order it with none on it. Then I can get packets of the ketchup and put my own on. The service and the whole program there is 100% turn around from opening day. To many kids working and no one really knew what was happening. Needed more adults working. The manager offer to many free coupons for free food for mistakes. But that news got around fast and way too many people were complaining and getting free food. If it's not right then in my opinion you need to bring to the managers attention then not 2-3 days later. Costs them a lot of money that it shouldn't have. It's always clean table wiped down condiments and soda machine area always clean and filled.“

“A fun sports bar to watch Sunday Football games!! my fiancé and I stopped here on the way to the big cities and we were not disappointed! I had the Frisco burger and he had the Sunday special- 6 wings and a pitcher of beer! The bartender/cook was great! I hope to come back when the bowling alley is open“
