6 Best Mexican Restaurants near Baraboo

“my friend and I are monthly regulars at Jose's . we have been at the baraboo location 3 times in the last week however the service hasn't been the greatest . the manager Saturday accommodated us with dessert for cold food . today I asked for a manager for a dirty plate with food on it . he asked me what I wanted done about it? wasn't happy when I asked for a new one . the next plate that came out had food on the bottom of the plate . our server was rude when she brought out the replacement . she told us Saturday that her English was poor which is fine but needed to keep sending other servers to our table . I love coming to the restaurant but when service is starting to go down hill and the servers are starting to be rude not the atmosphere it once was .“

“We come to Jose’s every time I’m up here in Baraboo. Sometimes more than once in a weekend. The manager Maria is the best. She always makes sure to say hello and make sure your food is good. Andrea is also on the top of our list of favorite waitresses. We go to their trucks to eat and the Jose’s in hochunk is the best. Highly recommend.“

“We went to Cinco Niños for breakfast a couple of times during our stay at Kalahari. The food was excellent and our waitress was friendly and attentive each time. Unfortunately, the hostess and the staff handling seating were rude and disorganized. There was no greeting or smile and it felt like we were bothering them just by showing up. Once you’re seated the experience is great but the front staff really needs improvement.“

“This is honestly my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! Their nachos are amazing and I could have them everyday. My girlfriend is Mexican and we enjoy going there! It helps cure her occasional homesickness. She said to say “se siente un poco como estar en casa”“
