We were vacationing with a large group & they were very accommodating. Friendly staff, good food, reasonably priced & nice sized portions! (We did not stay at their hotel)
Wonderful food
Gruenke's is the perfect breakfast place. Judith's skillet is hash browns, cheese, sausage and mushrooms magic. This place is full of history and comfy delight. I'll be back.

Notably, the menu features fried whitefish livers, a local delicacy that is a must-try, either breaded and fried with a squeeze of lemon or sautéed with peppers and onions. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere, showcasing record covers on the ceiling and nostalgic pictures on the walls. Conveniently located within walking distance to shops and the harbor, it’s a great stop before exploring downtown or the Bayfield Ghost Walks. Greunke’s Friday night fish fry includes fresh whitefish from the lake, and guests can enjoy cherry homemade pie and hand-dipped malts.
