Always a great experience when up north. Highly recommended.
Best food around, first class treatment. 5 stars.
This place is a true blast from the past but in the best way. Everything was great but the ribeye, seafood chowder, and pan seared whitefish were real standouts. In a town full of whitefish this was the best I had all week. The service was also top notch. Our waitress Marie anticipated our needs before we did. No trip to bayfield is complete without a dinner at the Rittenhouse.

The wait staff is attentive and efficient, providing friendly service, with Marie giving wonderful and delightful service. The restaurant features a five-course tasting menu with highlights such as the classic Caesar salad and the seafood ravioli with salmon. The whitefish special was delicious. For breakfast, the restaurant offers great omelettes and tasty pancakes. A fresh made white chocolate raspberry muffin from the bakery is also excellent. The setting, service, and food are all well worth the price, making it a unique and enjoyable dining experience in a picturesque small-town setting. Guests would love to dine there again.
