“I can't say enough good things about the people at Red Oak. Everyone who works there is delightful, friendly, professional, and accommodating. Their mission of serving local farm foods is also wonderful, and not only helps the community, but I feel better about what I'm feeding my family. The chef crafts a seasonal menu and great specials based around what is in season. Plus the food is delicious. We typically come for Sunday brunch, but dinners are equally great. We live in Illinois but spend time in the area frequently during warmer months, and dine here regularly. Family friendly. Great patio (occasional bees, beware). Fireplace in colder months. Retail items like locally made jams. Highly recommended!”

“Really enjoyed our visit to MBC. Our bartender, Christian, was spot on. She answered my many questions quickly and correctly. A small mix-up in my order was remedied immediately. Good draft selection. (32 0z. option, mmm). Cheese curd sampler outstanding. The two of us almost couldn't eat more. Glad we did, though. Double patty smash burger, yummy. Three bacon choices, yummy. (Think large Steak and Shake, but GOOD). Fresh cut fries, battered fries, and tons of menu choices. Will be back.”

Parking: The parking is very cramped and annoying but overall I would say it is worth it just to be able to eat here.

Kid-friendliness: Nice atmosphere and good decorations. There are modern elements like tablets to order on and displays of the cookies.

Wheelchair accessibility: Can roll wheelchair, might have trouble because of the curb but overall, not hard for wheelchairs.”

From design to final delivery, this was the best experience. She guided me through the process and helped me make great choices. The staff at Aurora loved the treats! “Stopped for breakfast for the first time this weekend. Everything bagel with sausage cheese and egg was AMAZING. Vanilla latte was delicious! I loved being able to order on website the night before. It was ready at the promised time when I pulled into drive thru next day. Also love they use locally roasted Eastview coffee - which is always amazing. Highly recommend!”

“I highly recommended The Vegas restaurant in Antioch! Lizzy was our server and she went above and beyond while taking care of us. She was very kind and funny! When she heard it was mom’s bday she brought her a cinnabon and had her blowout a candle. When I was paying the bill, mom told Helen that she loves Chicken Dumpling soup and Helen brought mom a container to go! What a wonderful experience for my mom on her birthday! The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. Customer service at its finest. Thank you!”

“Walking into reflections is like walking into a a family home. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with wonderful memories, cozy vibes, and history. Once you are seated, depending on where you are either looking out the beautiful window overlooking the deep lake, or a perfect view of the stage where there is a piano player (very soft and light music). If your lucky, which you will be, Jack the owner start playing the accordion. Your table feels like your own dining room table. This a is a polish restaurant so I recommend getting the polish platter to sample all the amazing staples they offer. Whatever you get you be satisfied. The food is absolutely delicious. Grab the pickle soup if it’s the soup of the day, but any soup they serve is delicious. They also have a great kids menu which is a bonus! If you choose dessert, they will show off their amazing arrangement of treats to choose from. You can’t go wrong with any of them. Jack and Lydia’s has been a local staple for the community and it’s always such a pleasure to dine with them!”

“We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. Probably the best bruschetta and lasagna I’ve had in a very long time. Everyone loved their entrees. We tried multiple pasta dishes and the pizza. Prices were very reasonable and our service was exceptional. Excellent dining experience all around. Highly recommend.”

It’s hard to find bartenders that are on top of things and make you feel welcome. She made us want to come back and tell our friends that Nutties is 100 times better!”
