“My favorite steak in town…. “Steak au Poivre” can be found at this great French restaurant (French not not haughty) in Wauwatosa. Favorite steak as it tastes great, and presented well. Sliced on an angle and sauced with a red wine black peppercorn reduction, it has just enough char on the outside to balance the medium rare I love inside. Along with taste, I love that it comes with my fav vegetables-haricot vertes and absolutely perfect French fries! So unlike popular steak restaurants, at LaReve you get more than just meat for the list price! Yum + Yay! The desserts? They are as gorgeous as they are delicious! The case is filled with sweet perfection, each one more beautiful than the next! Just so hard to pick which on.! And the macrons are iconic-crisp outside and soft chewy inside, take a few home with you! But what a treat to find a Kir Royale on the menu last night at dinner before a show! I’m sure it’s a direct effect of Emily in Paris Season 3, but maybe I just never noticed it on the menu before! I served these for Christmas ten years ago and when I saw Emily working on an ad campaign, I just knew they’d start to show up on menus soon. Lucky me! Bon Appetite! This place is great for a girls lunch or business lunch, A friends dinner or date night!“

The people here are SO NICE, seriously might be the nicest in the game. You can tell their passionate about this business and these bake goods. “The brown butter dark chocolate mocha I recently had was easily the best espresso drink I have ever tasted. Super balanced between the espresso and flavoring and didn't have that grainy-textutre iced mochas sometimes have. I visit this area every few years and Stone Creek Coffee has been a must-go every time!“

And my favorite part of the Fiddle heads is the outdoor seating options open year round. I love that in the winter I can still enjoy the "outside" while cozy and warm!“

“We used the Greige Patisserie for our November 2023 wedding in Oconomowoc, WI. They did our personal cutting cake and dessert bar. We mainly communicated with Miranda, who was very responsive, professional and helpful. The dessert tasting appointment was really fun to try out some of the more popular treats. They delivered and set-up all the desserts on wedding day and it looked perfect. The cake was absolutely beautiful and exactly like the inspo pictures we shared. The dessert bar was a hit and we had multiple guests talking about how good all the treats were all weekend. We had s’mores shooters, strawberry shortcake shooters, lemon bars, salted caramel tarts, snickerdoodle cookies and macarons. We would definitely recommend the Greige Patisserie to future couples. “Treats by Bernadette has the best food and bakery EVER!!! First, the restaurant is sooo clean which is a plus. Everything is homemade and prepared with a whole lotta’ love. The customer service is everything. You are always greeted with a smile. I gotta start with the delicious food. I had a dinner from their soul food Sunday. They had corned beef, oven roasted chicken and bbq spare rib dinners. I had the oven roasted chicken wings, dressing, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, yams and collard greens. All I can say is OMG!!!! The food was outstanding. Everything was seasoned to perfection. I also had some of her banana pudding, lemon cookies and tasted her apple cheesecake. “I have to start this review by saying that I was a customer of this establishment twice in a matter of 15 minutes. Why? Because after taking one bite of the banana pudding cheesecake I IMMEDIATELY went right back and got more before even finishing the first slice. It might be the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten. My girlfriend agrees and she’s not even as big a cheesecake fan as I am. The young man working behind the counter was extremely helpful and friendly and I owe him my life for recommending the before-mentioned cheesecake. We also got the caramel cake and why was phenomenal as well. Highly recommend this establishment and the banana pudding cheesecake.“

“A very unique atmosphere located in a historic former 1-Room School House. Smaller and cozy, it has limited table and counter-type seating; as well as a 3-couch w/2 end tables area. Good supply of outlets.Good essential Coffe & espresso drinks, along with some bakery goods. My banana muffin was great. My friend thought her cinnamon roll was a tad dry & old tasting. 2 of our coffees were great. I wasn’t too into my waffle latte…not sure the name matched what I was expecting, but it was acceptable.Our barista was a top notch server. Friendly & efficient. We also bumped into a local family visiting and enjoyed some great conversation.It was too cold to do the outdoor seating, but that looked very inviting. May try that if we pass by in the warmer weather.“

“A cute corner shop providing top tier service, delectable nibbles and quality sips! So far, everything I've had has been great. My personal favorite/go-to is the lox bagel with a side salad. It's a delicious combination that hits the spot every time. I enjoy their indoor environment when it's not too crowded otherwise it can get a bit noisy. Their outdoor seating in the warmer months makes for a great setting to enjoy a nice meal, a cup of coffee, and the warm weather. Staff is friendly and attentive, to-go orders are always ready on time, and the place is always clean.“

Generally good customer service, but would recommend against online orders. The time estimates are useless, and on our previous order they changed the bread type twice before we picked up + the entire inside line was completed after we showed up in-person.“
