“Every time I go into this place, great hospitality, amazing food, different specials all the time. This time I tried the turkey melt with creamy mushroom soup and it was simply amazing! Highly recommend the food! Owners are great people and the bartender is the best in town!”

“Stopped by for the first time yesterday with a friend and had some of the best breakfast I’ve ever eaten, eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy and it was amazing! The owner Suzie, bartender John and cook chopper were super friendly and fun to talk to and even though it’s a small place kinda out in the middle of nowhere I will gladly return again. Highly recommended.”

“For our 30th wedding anniversary, we started with the Great River Road Wine Trail, with Chateau St. Croix being the last stop of our 2-day winery touring. This should have been our first stop so we could have stayed for hours! It is a beautiful winery with the BEST wines of our journey. We arrived late in the day and only had time for a quick sampling, so we bought 2 bottles to take home and a glass to take outside onto the gorgeous grounds. We ended up talking with the wine maker/owner Irv and his right-hand vineyard expert Vic for over an hour. After closing, Irv brought out his 'Scarlet' wine "from the rafters," which meant it wasn't ready a year ago so was stored away, but--Oh, my--now it was ready - absolutely divine! We also sampled Marco V Red and Itasca, amongst others. To top off the evening, we got to meet owner Anna (very sweet lady!), who was busy mowing while her husband was giving us an excellent education on the notes and pairings. Needless to say, we loved so many of their wines, we couldn't decide on just a couple, so we ended up going home with 2 cases!”

“My family, a friend and I stopped in last night for fish. I had the shrimp, which was very good. I would certainly have that again with my baked potato. The Salad/soup bar to me was outstanding. The 2 choices of soup were home made. I had the chunky tomato soup. I loved it. Then I went for the salads. Wow, what a wide variety. From lettuce, to pasta’s, to one of my favorites. pickled beets. Oh and breadsticks. Would highly recommend the Friday night fish fries at Wolf Creek Bar.”

“If I could give these guys six stars I would. The winery, the wine and beer that is offered and the ladies that work behind the bar, as well as the owners, could not be nicer. We came here for my husband's birthday and we had an absolutely wonderful time. This is a lovely place with good wine to offer. We are excited to come back to the vineyard and camp. Our only regret is the fact that we didn't have any cash on us to tip the staff. We are definitely going to make it up to them when we come back next time, as they so deserve it. Thank you for the wonderful birthday weekend.”

“Was a really fun New Years eve that I attended 5 J's. If you're looking for a low key and cheap bar to have some drinks this place is it. Only problem was no mask enforcement or social distancing but I dunno how you're supposed to enforce that in a crowded bar.”
