I've been there 2 days in a row 2 different employees was not impressed with either. Their customer service pretty much sucked. Food was Mediocre As we ask for a light sauce on our meatball sub and apparently that was too much to ask.And the other sub wasn't much better. I suppose it's better than McDonald's. But they surely need to improve their customer service. Truly surprised usually smaller towns have nice employees. Unfortunate for this one.
Half the time my order comes out wrong. When it's right its good about 80% of the time. The manager was unamused by my complaint of not getting what I ordered like four times. Staff rotates like the wind. The customer service isn't great because they don't keep the same employees. Some have been there a while. Hit or miss.

I go to Subway a lot at home and on my travels. This one has consistently not been very good. The service is unusually bad no matter what time of the year I visit Eagle River. It has never been very clean and the meat and cheese is slightly below room temperature. I would avoid this Subway. I recommend the nearby St. Germain Subway. It's one of the best I've been to.
