“Its not too often that we get a night to go out for dinner just the two of us. We made a great choice and went to the Shady Grove. We enjoyed great service and amazing food. We started with side salads with homemade dressing and pickled beets that were delicious! The dinner rolls were hot and tasty, and our diet cokes never got close to being empty! I enjoyed the prime rib with homemade horse radish sauce and au gratin potatoes. She enjoyed the broiled walleye and hashbrowns. Our first trip down was a huge success, and definitely won't be our last! It was too cold today, but there is also outdoor seating when the weather cooperates!“

“We stopped by for a bite to eat about 4pm. The place was easy to find and we found a seat immediately. The waitress/bartender got us menus and drinks quickly.We ordered the saracha curds and seasoned tots to start. The curds were delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned just right.Our main course was the deluxe bacon burger and the crispy chicken sandwich both with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and had an ample amount of toppings. The crispy chicken sandwich was cooked a bit on the crispy side so it had a nice crunch. It was juicy and delicious. The tomato and lettuce finished the sandwich giving it that delicious flavor we all love.The fries were hot but a bit undercooked. The smaller fries were ok but the larger fries were a bit soggy. Another 30 seconds in the dryer would have been all they needed to be perfect.Overall we had a pleasant experience. The food was very good, the service was exceptional, the price was great for the quality of the food. I highly recommend you stop and see for yourself how good this place is.“

“I had breakfast in your restaurant last year while on vacation, and I have to say that the atmosphere was absolutely wonderfulI! I had the opportunity to visit with the new owner, and with several of the staff, what a delight!! The food was excellent, and presented well. It was everything one could expect from Community establishment, situated on a main Street in beautiful Ellsworth Wisconsin. Will I return? I absolutely will return when I visit again this coming July! I Highly recommend Sawyer Joe’s!“

“Embarrassed to say it was my first time here after 19 years in town! What was i thinking! Great food. Wish it was warm enough to sit outside. The appetizers were excellent. Chicken strips, wraps, and burgers were all excellent as well. And I love the crinkle fries! Will be back!“

“My fussy husband loved the food, and would not stop talking about how he loved his meat lovers omelet with veggies. Thank you, cooks, for being generous with the hollandaise! The hash browns were perfect; you could tell they use fresh oil. The side pancake filled the plate! It was tall and fluffy and slightly sweet, so I did not use syrup. The coffee mugs are huge! The lovely waitress brought a carafe of coffee. The tall, strong gent on staff told us he's married to our sweet waitress and the whole operation is a family affair. We ordered a whole caramel apple pie to go, for Christmas dinner; I imagine that will knock Mom & Dad's socks off. We are delighted The Table on Main is right in downtown River Falls and it's our new go-to breakfast/lunch place. The Table-On-Main family all work hard and we wish you continued success.“
