About St. Charles Station

St. Charles Station is a classy, quiet restaurant with a great happy hour bar deal. The happy hour offers $5 curds, drinks, soups and a safe place for a celiac. Dinner includes the blackened chicken pasta with pesto, cream, white wine sauce, mushrooms, tomato, sauteéd onions. The mushroom themed farm to table monthly special is outstanding, and the monthly farm to table menu includes a mushroom feature with four courses that are out of this world. Other popular dishes are the St. Charles pasta, jambalaya pasta, salmon with parsnips and broccoli, and cornbread muffins that add a nice touch. Desserts such as tiramisu and beignets are fantastic. The food is delicious, expensive, large, and the portions are amazing. Service can be sub par, with drinks that take forever and occasional lost order, but the server can be incredible and the vibe is top‑tier. The environment is perfect for a date night or dinner with friends, not the type to bring a young kid. The food is dangerous, bangin, and the blackberry Old Fashioned hits the spot. The restaurant continues to impress.

Beautifully restored space with a great mix of historic charm and modern touches. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. A unique Madison venue that feels both elegant and comfortable.

We wanted to love it so bad.
Made 4 pm reservations for a Saturday.
Drove from Fond du Lac in the snow.
Ordered cheese curds, a crab cake, a Caesar salad, bacon truffle Mac and the pasta st Charles and the only thing we fully enjoyed was the crab cake. That was a close to the best crab cake we’ve both ever had!

The cheese curds were basically just a pile of melted cheese. No coating or breading in sight. The salad was flavorless and the lettuce tasted like...read full review

My daughter and I had dinner at St. Charles Station last night! The meal was wonderful! She ordered the jambalaya pasta dish with fresh pasta. It was delicious and, honestly, enough for two meals! I had the salmon with parsnips and broccoli. Also delicious! The cornbread muffins, upon arrival, added a nice touch to an already memorable experience! Lovely environment! Great service! Thank you, Chef Dave and team!
