“We’ve seen the Bierhaus many times on trips to Wisconsin. This was the time for our first visit. The Bavarian Bierhaus is part of a complex dedication to German traditions and culture. There are soccer fields, an outdoor village, and the bier hall and restaurant. The fired cheese curds were rich and delicious. And cubed, which I’ve never seen before. The sausage was tasty too. We tried the Oktoberfest brat & the Hungarian. Nice, spicy mustard. Recommend the Marzen too named Unkel Dunkel. Again, all solid, traditional recipes. We will be back with family & friends. Recommended.“
“Small quaint little brewery that is somewhat hidden on the Greenfield Avenue. You could easily walk past it. Beer selection was definitely serviceable. The silent disco was very interesting. It's is small so be prepared to be a bit cramped. Nice little beer garden out back when the weather is nice.“
“A nice atmosphere to grab drinks and catch up with friends. I enjoy the outdoor heated seating area. I've also been here for trivia night which was fun. The taco food truck they have come on Wednesdays is also good. I'd say the beers are just okay here compared to other breweries in the Milwaukee area. None of the beers quite stand out to me as being a great beer or a favorite.“
“The BEST brewery in Milwaukee! MUCH better place than the other hype breweries that are on the "best of" lists in the city. The beer is always interesting, well thought out, and delicious. The taproom is roomy and chic with nice outdoor seating in the warm weather.“
“The tour was not your usual tour talking about how beer is made and showing it being made. Instead, the tour covers the history of how the brewery started and how it changed over the years. Much of the woodwork and paintings are original to the locations you walk through. Even the meaning to the labeling on the can is covered. Spoiler alert, Pabst never won a Blue Ribbon. The tour includes a free beer with refills only costing $4.00. Like the new owner says, good tasting beer at a cheap beer price never goes out of style.Parking: Went on a Sunday and had no problem finding street parking. If you go on a Saturday or weekday, will probably be more of a problem.“
“I have not had the food. I usually just go for a beer. They have a great rewards program and they always have a great beer selection, so many varieties. The staff is always friendly but today Julie, the bartender and by herself and she was busy but she was still super friendly and took great care of us.“
“One of our new favorite breweries, Torzala is truly a hidden gem. It’s one-of-a-kind atmosphere is quiet and cozy yet so welcoming. The owners and bartenders are incredibly friendly and have a “strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet” attitude. We loved our time here and can’t wait to go back soon!“
“The food here was amazing. Everyone needs to try their cheese curds. Definitely the best I’ve ever had, especially with the garlic ranch. The fish fry was also decent too. I like that you order at the front and they bring the food out to your table. My only complaint was the bartender we interacted with was a bit rude. She seemed annoyed with us before we even started ordering.“
“Very nice set up and atmosphere. The baristas are always friendly. For some reason the crowd always seems off putting whenever I enter though, almost judgey. I haven't been there in a while so maybe that has changed. The chai tea latte is amazing there!“
“Huge open brewery. Their selection of home brewed beers will have something for everyone. It is pet friendly. Really like the self service watering station. Bubbler for locals. Water fountain for non Wisconsinites. They have 4 huge garage door which would make nice weather days a awesome environment. Definitely recommend and will be going back.“
“We love stopping by broken bat! It’s walking distance for us and it’s dog friendly so we love bringing our pup! They have a good variety of beer to choose from. There is pool and darts available. The staff is always very friendly and fun to chat with!“
“Some of the best tasting beer in the city, but that's only part of the experience... the bar tenders are all excellent folx with a solid knowledge of the beer on tap. The brew master, John, is a true master of his craft and always producing top knotch beers for pretty much every pallet.“
“The perfect vegan brewery! Come here for every event and you won't be disappointed! Service is always great, and the arcade surroundings will wrap you in a warm blanket of nostalgia. It's your friend's basement where you played video games as a kid, and your friend's mom has made pizza!“
“We had a great experience at Good City Brewing! We had the veggie panini with curry fries and chili. Everything was very tasty. We did a few taster sizes. We recommend the Plumberry Sour. Delicious! Service was all you could ask for. Krissy was prompt, friendly and helpful with our beer selections and even travel info. She’s a gem!“
“We walked in here on New Years Day and had to wonder if they were open. It's a great space, very nice bar, good seating, and a few games. Lots of bathrooms and you can see the brewery equipment. It was a slow start but really grew on us. The beers were good. The abv was lower but the beers were also a bit more refreshing. It was a good menu, great space, good service, and a good time. It strikes me as an "old money" brewery. Everything is deceptively nice. Look at the bar, the rugs, the bathrooms, the walls. It's a nice place and very understated. We were surprised by how dead it was, there were only 2 to 8 other people besides us.“
“Great beer and great service at Enlightened Brewing! I'm always on the hunt for dog friendly spots where I can grab a tasty brew and our pup can kick back with his bone. Space is beautiful! Love the industrial vibes. We had a minor issue with a group of children running around the brewery and crawling under our table, which made our dog rather anxious. But, I attribute that more to the parents. Luckily, Enlightened's space is large enough that we were able to shift tables and find a more comfortable spot out of the running pathway. We've also been here before without the pup, for a friend's concert which was set up on a stage right in the main brewery space. So much fun! Haven't had a chance to try the on site food truck yet, but I've heard it is some of the best BBQ in MKE so reviews to come!Overall, great space, good vibes, and tasty brews. Don't miss this spot.“
“This is my favorite brewery in the Milwaukee area. They have some really good beers here, and it is always one of the first places I recommend when people from out of town want to visit a brewer in Milwaukee. Their food is also pretty solid.“
“We love Urban Harvest Brewing due to the family atmosphere as members of the mug club and all the events that involve the club and the general public (i.e. block parties and fundraisers). I absolutely love how owner Steve supports his community and organizations like the Wisconsin Humane Society and his patrons. Also as a retired Infection Control Practitioner, I am SO impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and especially how UHBC operated during COVID-19 pandemic ... nice job!“
“We recently hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at the Riverwest Taproom location and the experience was fantastic! Everyone in the Gathering Place team was a pleasure to work with. The process was so simple and they went above and beyond to make sure the space was what we needed. Not to mention that the beer was all great!“
“A great range of beers that are ever-changing! They have some good locally made snacks as well. I highly recommend the jar of salsa and bag if chips for $10. It's a cool, rustic atmosphere. My only complaint is that they no longer allow dogs inside the brewery.“
“My favorite part of this brewery was they had a baby changing station in the women's and men's room! Brewery was great! Good beer and they allow dogs inside! They had a ton of snack options as well like pretzels and cookies. Great atmosphere!“
“The kids loved unlimited soda tasting, we adults appreciated our beverage as well. Tour was educational AND entertaining (it was a busy and a microphone for Jeff would have been super). Jeff had fun facts, pulled folks in and knew lots about Sprecher.“
