Talk about authentic, I ordered the birria de res and to my delight the waitress said they only had borrego (sheep) on this day. It came with an amazing consume with chick peas, just like in Guanajuato and Hidalgo. Borrego very well prepared and tender. Beans and rice had great flavor. Salsa is probably the best in town. When I first walked into this place, I almost turned around and walked back out. It’s smaller, it had a weird smell, the tables were dirty but I’m so glad that I didn’t leave. There was only 2 people working so customer service really lacked. Like really. BUT this is some of the best TRADITIONAL Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The absolute BEST Mexican food I've ever had! The meat was so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. The veggies were cool and refreshing. The chips were crisp and with the perfect amount of salt and the salsa was HOT! The place could be a bit cleaner since there were still dirty plates and tables, but the food and sweet server more than made up for it!
