“I was worried I wouldn’t find excellent Mexican food when my wife and I moved to GB from Arizona. Boy was I wrong. This place is amazing. We will be regulars here.“

“I had the Mexican tacos, one of each (chorizo, chicken, and pork) and they were excellent!!! So flavorful. Fresh cilantro, and I added bowl of guacamole that was just like the guac in Cabo. My husband’s quesadilla was so good and he had left overs. Highly recommend!!“

“Love the food and the West side location is wonderful. We order from here almost once a month for corporate lunches and love it. Today however we called the East side location to place our order and were told “Stop calling” and they hung up on us. This was around 11:45am. If I were the owner I would be looking into it. Other than that the experience is always great!“

The food- now let me express, this is NOT your basic Mexican restaurant, but a twist on everything amazing! We started with the nachos, delicious! But my entree was by far the best chimi I had ever eaten!
I had the Korean beef chimi. The flavor-top notch! A twist of both cultures elevated to a new level of deliciousness! My mom ordered the shrimp chimi, which I got one bite (that’s all she’d give up!) it was citrusy and just a perfect balance of flavor!
Oh, and the drinks were great too! Blueberry lavender margaritas!!!
We will be back! Over and over I promise!

“If I've said it once I've said it a million times and ill keep saying until im blue in the face. Taco boy absolutely has the best tacos and burritos I've ever had in green bay. Phenomenal food and service in a little corner lot with indoor and outdoor seating to eat if youre staying to eat. They bring your food and take your plates after. I'll never stop coming here.“

“I'll say that this place is Amazing! I go to latin American diners alot, generally pay too much for little portions of food. But this place is different! I got the steak burrito and supreme nachos; when i saw the size of the portions i was floored! They make great food, you'll have a snack for later. First impressions are key! I'll be going back.“

“Absolutely amazing carne asada tacos. I was literally FLOORED how good they were, better than many I've had at full scale restaurants. Perfectly seasoned, pipping hot, and each taco was super loaded, zero skimping here. An absolute 10/10, you will not regret stopping here. Only thing left to be desired is I wish their salsa Verde was a little more spicy, but such a minor thing when their tacos are some of the best I've ever had.“

“When I first moved to Green Bay from Chicago, I felt like there wasn't any location that had things from "home" essentially since Chicago is very diverse. One of the locals told me about this location and I immediately went after work. They literally have everything! I love this store. The workers are nice but are also quiet-which is normal to me, but it might be weird for others.“

“First time ordering here even though I have been at the mall various time. Very friendly staff. I had the quesabirria and did not have high expectations about it as there weren’t any photos to reference but it definitely beat my expectations. I love that the onions and cilantros were on the side and were not mixed together as well. Make it easy for someone who arent big fan of one or the other. It was delicious and the sauce has a good kick which I love.“

“We had a goup show up, and we weren't sure just how many would be coming. They set us up at their largest table and it sat all twenty of us that showed up!
With multiple checks, and people not ordering all at the same time, it could have been a nightmare of missed entrees and apps, but they handled it all perfectly!“

“My girlfriend and I stopped at Taqueria El Local before a concert last week, and honestly, it was one of those places you hope to stumble across. Total hole-in-the-wall vibe, which is exactly our kind of place.

The food was incredible — in my admittedly limited experience, probably the best and most authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. Everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. They didn’t have hard liquor, so no margaritas, but the buckets of cerveza definitely made up for it.

The connected Mexican grocery store next door was also really cool to explore. Lots of interesting items, including some beautiful (and expensive!) Jesus and Mary figurines. There was even a kid outside hustling some awesome hats. I actually wanted to buy one, but our Uber was waiting.

Only minor downside was the bathroom — it was technically open, but probably should’ve been marked out of order.

Overall though, this place felt authentic, welcoming, and memorable. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in Green Bay.“
