Norton's of Green Lake Reviews
Friendly service, amazing food, wonderful atmosphere- highly recommend!!
HUGE Disappointment! We have anxiously awaited the reopening of Nortons and were excited to go for dinner tonight. Things started off poorly when our appetizer plate came with balled up Saran Wrap in the pickles, the waitress didn’t blink when we showed it to her. When dinner finally arrived the prime rib was blah and had a cold crust across the top of the meat, the two tablespoons of mashed potatoes that came with it were cold and hard, and the “creamed” spinach was...read full review

Norton's of Green Lake is a family tradition for many, offering delicious food and great cocktails. The friendly staff ensures a fun and timely dining experience. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the restaurant has a neat vibe with a very pleasant staff. The menu features wonderful options, including the cream of mushroom soup, which is highly recommended. The soft rolls with butter are served at the perfect temperature, and the side dishes like grilled cauliflower and tomatoes are delicious. Entrees such as roasted scallops on a bed of kale and cauliflower puree, as well as filet mignon with sauteed onions and a loaded baked potato, are well-prepared, though some dishes may seem to lack a little flavor compared to the flavorful soups. The borderlaise sauce might be better served on the side to let the main dish stand out. The service is attentive, with servers like Jonathan providing quick and friendly care. While the restaurant can be unreasonably cold, bringing a sweater is advised, as this seems to be common in many local eateries. The bar area may have an overwhelming bleach smell and some unsuitable music, but these do not affect the main dining space. Views of Green Lake add to the overall experience. The Lobster bites are a standout, and the restaurant remains a popular spot for families and friends in Green Lake. However, the lunch menu is somewhat small, and it is hoped that more items will be added in the future. Despite some minor issues, the overall experience is enjoyable, and Norton's continues to be a favorite dining destination in the area.
