Last but not least this place has the absolute best bar pizza you will ever eat, perfect sauce and crust and no shortage of toppings and deliciousness. “Always a tastebud’s delight. Their menu offers an excellent twist on comfort and classic foods with options for all food enthusiasts including vegetarian and vegan options. Their coffee is smooth and flavorful, their Bloody Mary is top notch, and their beer selection is pleasantly satisfying. Their staff are down to earth, friendly and attentive. “First time at Kountry Bar (I know I know - shameful!!!!) but the beer was ice cold, the atmosphere was amazing, the bartenders were friendly and personable but the burger - OMG the burger was f-ing fantastic. I had the ghost pepper blue burger and it was seriously the best burger I’ve had in…… well, I don’t know when. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich and also loved it. We will most definitely be back. Seriously - you need to visit this bar and grill. You will not regret your decision to stop by and treat yourself!!! 💪🏼“

Maritime Bar still has legit potential—classic dive spot with cheap drinks, pool tables, darts, that gritty downtown Appleton feel, and it’s holding its own even after the old owner passed away (rip to the guy who kept it real and raw back in the day). Things got a little quiet for a while, but the new setup feels like it could ramp back up and become a go-to again.
What I really miss are the punk shows—this place used to be the spot for local punk and metal bands to go hard, like the Fox Valley’s mini CBGB’s. No other bar let that scene breathe the same way. And one of my favorite open mics was hosted there too—great energy, real crowd, always fun to jump in or just watch the chaos. Bring back more live music, punk nights, and those killer mics, and it’d be packed and electric every weekend. Right now it’s solid for a chill beer, games, or low-key hangs, but crank that old edge and it’d crush again. Hope it gets there soon—miss the good times.“

“Great eclectic bar. It has that old school feel with tin ceilings and all but has a modern crowd. Its a long bar that even has live music. Great in house PA system. Perfect size and it sounds great. The owner runs sound and knows how very well. Bartenders are very nice and quick. Killer location with a bumpy parking lot. But it fits all the cars to fill the bar. Drinks are stronger that normal but not over done. Great place. Great location. A must go“

“You don't come here for ambience! But please try the food. We were introduced to Mike and Sonja's by some good friends. We walked in and the first thing I noticed was only a few people were here. We had a drink, good drinks, very reasonable prices. Sonja took our food order at the bar. A few minutes later, she said our table was ready. The salad bar was modest but good. The soup was french onion which was very good. My wife and I had perch, good sized serving, great batter on the perch. But we should have listened to our friends. They had prime rib and fish combo. The prime rib was excellent! We will be back!“

This is a good dive bar with a decent selection of beer and booze. The parking can be dicey when they are busy. They have a small outdoor garden for smokers. The bartenders are good, just don't get on their wrong side.“

The pinball machines are the driver of the entertainment, and there are so many to choose from with themes that range from music, to comics, to TV/Movies, they are a blast. The retro cabinets in the back are pretty worn, but they certainly fit the bill and are very reasonably priced. My family enjoys spending an hour or so in there when we are downtown, and it scratches our arcade-itch, for sure. Their Green Bay location is an upgraded experience, but again, for a small arcade bar on College Ave, this is a lot of fun.“

“My husband and I were in about 1 1/2 years ago. We loved this bar. The bartenders Jen and Nikki were awesome and easy to talk to. Patrons were friendly and always ready for a story or a game of pool. Scott and Terri the owners treat thier customers and staff like family. The first time we were in, my husband saw a big 'ole Tupperware party bowl up for grabs in one of the raffles. He won it and it's been my go to ever since!Thank you My place. Parking: Small lot, but it's a small place.

Wheelchair accessibility: Main entrance is not wheelchair accessible, there is a side door that is. Restrooms may be up a step, I don't recall if inside it's a steep ramp or 1-2 steps.“
