“We happened upon this restaurant from a suggestion of an employee, it was a home run. The atmosphere was very friendly, the service was top notch. The prices were so great compared to other restaurants that you know just slap down frozen food and charge outrageous prices. Homemade, smash burgers were excellent, pasta was first rate and even Mac and cheese was not from a box. Find this place, and have a great time.“

“Stopped for a late lunch as we were driving by. Debated about the special for the day but sounded like too much food for me (could have shared). My son had the 1 pound Mighty Hurricane burger and I had the Somewhere Else Club. Both were very good but the side of fries were definitely not our favorite. The bar was pretty quiet as it was an odd time of day. The bartender was friendly and knew the locals as they came in. The locals were also friendly as we chatted at the bar.“

“Stumbled upon this place on a Friday night. The random chance we took turned out great! Good drinks, great food, spectacular dessert. We got a few items to try:
- breaded mushrooms - crispy and juicy at the same time
- potato skins - cheesy, crispy bacon, cooked just right
- scallops - seared to perfection, rice, asparagus and sauce were all top notch
- fish fry - perfect. Try the cornbread muffin, it's unreal.
- turtle cheesecake - just the right amount of nuts and caramel
- brownie with ice cream - warm brownie, cold ice cream, 100% yes

Service is always fast and friendly, which keeps me coming back. I’m here often and honestly haven’t had a bad thing on the menu yet — everything is tasty and well done. A true Hayward icon and a must-visit if you’re in town. Highly recommended!“
