“We have been regularly traveling the 20 miles every Friday for the all you can eat fish dinner. It's the only place that we know of where you get your choice of broiled, regular batter or beer battered fish along with coleslaw or cottage cheese and choice potatoes. Get the seasoned waffle fries, they are a slight upcharge but well worth it, you won't be disappointed. They also have root beer on tap in a frosty mug! They have daily specials and the burgers look great. This is a local bar and grill so don't wear a suit and tie.Parking: The gravel parking lot surrounds the establishment“
“My husband and I met at Shortys in 2020 and were devastated when they closed shortly after. We use to say we’d never get to go back to the place we met. But when Bucktails moved into the building we couldn’t be happier. My husband is a huge fan of American food, and I could eat Mexican food everyday, all day. Having both on their menu, we found our new favorite spot. When we got married, we knew we wanted to celebrate where we met, and Bucktails was more than happy to make that possible. We had a party of roughly 50 people who were ALL impressed by the food and service. Staff was amazing to work with and were so great the entire night. When food ran out, they were quick to throw more in the oven for us and bring it out. They had had pool, darts, and karaoke. Everyone had such an amazing time. I can’t recommend this place enough!! Thank you Dee and everyone at Bucktails. We will never forget our incredible wedding celebration with you!!“
“I usually don't give this high of a review but they earned it for sure.Great staff, pool table and dartboard, few slot machines (both older and newer), Great food, older but well kept architecture. Very clean establishment, I love this place and definitely will be back again.Parking: Parking spots in front of building but I'm unsure if there is parking behind the tavern.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely accessible for people with disabilities.“
“I loved everything about our visit here!We were in town for a Friday night football game, and we're looking for a drink and a bit to eat beforehand. When we walked in, we were greeted with the sights and smells of an old school Wisconsin tavern. Friendly folks welcomed us as well. The bartender's attentiveness was on point, the drinks were cold and the burgers were fantastic. It's hard to beat a good, old-fashioned bar burger!I really liked the old NFL helmet display as well.Plenty of character, good food, good service, and the right amount of "dive bar" had us glad that we stopped in!“
“Visited at 6pm on Friday night and it was the first time we had ever been there. Food was good. We aren't into the bar scene so we were hoping there would be booths or tables, and there were tables. But everyone there was belly up to the bar, so we felt a little out of place as the only people at a table, but that's no fault of the establishment. Atmosphere was nice, and it's a good looking place. But if you're bringing the whole family there, you might be the only ones sitting at a table. Maybe other reviewers can set the record straight on that. Food was good as was the price.“
“Delicious burgers and fries.Have eaten there multiple times, and each burger is worth the price. Whatever you're feeling, it'll taste good.Still need to try the mexican cuisine section of the menu, but it also looks great when my buddies order it.“
“We happened to find this campground on the way back from The Florida Keys. It was a little off our route but well worth the the extra time. The new campground owners are awesome! Staff also ?. Had fun at the bar with the locals & took food to go. Good luck with your future expansion of the campground. We hope to be back some day! ??“
“This has got to be one of the most underrated, unknowns in all of Superior! Izzy's has great BBQ and I feel one of the best in the area! I've been here a number of times and each time it's delicious! His ribs, pork and chicken are an absolute delight! Rib meat falls right off the bone! Chicken is so smoky, juicy and tender! This place is the hidden gem of Superior for finger lickin great BBQ. Famous Dave's don't hold a candle to Izzys. If you haven't tried it yet, go get you some! What makes Izzy's different from the national chains is his homemade recipes. From ribs, to chicken, to pork, baked beans, coleslaw and everything in between. The owner has decades of BBQ experience and it's all right here for you to try! Go get you some good old fashioned BBQ from Izzy's! I highly recommend it!“
“This hole in the wall right on the highway was an excellent place to stop and eat. It looks very small from.the outside but there was plenty of seating. They have very good appetizers and burgers. It is surprising walking in as has a little bit of a beach theme on the inside. Great place to eat in the area.“
