“This is a rustic fishing resort. The cabins were well outfitted with bedding and dishes. Our cabin had a free standing air conditioner that worked pretty well. There were kayaks available and the lake was in our backyard. Due to Covid19 concerns I didn't go to the bar, but the windows looked over the lake and I'm sure it would have been relaxing. The owners were kind and accommodating. There was a band for the beginning of the 4th of July holiday week. The entertainment tent was near our cabin but we had our yard to ourselves and were able to sit at our campfire and enjoy it.“
“First time in. Went for the fish fry. Very friendly folks, go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome. Food was excellent, I had baked, husband had fried fish. Baked potato was perfect, fries, obviously hand cut. Complimentary adult pudding shots with the fish fry, nice touch. Been seasonal up here 40 years. Wish we tried them sooner.“
“Our group of 10 had a good time. Darts, pool, gambling machines, decent selection of beers on tap. Bartenders were friendly. Prices were fair. The margaritas somehow evolved into Tequila Screw Ups...we ordered 3: the first round was normal. The 2nd had a hint of orange in them. The third round was a screw up with tequila. ? We didn't complain because they still tasted good. Lol“
“We have stopped here several years in a row for fish fry as we have family in the area. We stopped here long ago when it was The Narrow Gauge. Always good food and pretty good drinks and beer. When they are busy be sure to order two drinks at a time as it may take a while to get your next drink. Very friendly with good food! Nice beer selection as well.“
“Went there for lunch today and the food was great. Eye appealing, tasted great and came to our table hot. The bartender Rae was a lot of fun. I look at cleanliness of a restaurant and Rae's gets 5 stars! If you haven't been here try them you won't be disappointed !! I'll be back.“
“I've always wanted to stop here and we finally did. It was really nice. We got a table with a view of the lake. The pizza and burger were tasty and the service was excellent. We also eyed some folks with the most amazing looking bloody Marys that had sliders and other goodies on them. We'll have to try that next time.“
“We were so happy to have discovered this gem near Spooner, WI! We tried the Still burger, tots with seasoned sour cream and cheese curds and I can't recommend them enough! The burger was truly one of the best I've ever had and we come from MPLS where we have so many burger options! The service was friendly and fast and it's just a charming little spot with both indoor and outdoor seating! We will absolutely be back soon and will be bringing our family and friends!“
