We have stopped here several years in a row for fish fry as we have family in the area. We stopped here long ago when it was The Narrow Gauge. Always good food and pretty good drinks and beer. When they are busy be sure to order two drinks at a time as it may take a while to get your next drink. Very friendly with good food! Nice beer selection as well.
The getaway is a great place to go and get some really great food and meet some really great people. Linda and George are awesome hosts. George does a fabulous job of cooking. They have a great menu with some specials that are above and beyond good. Weekends here can be very busy but that's a testament to the food quality and the location. The food was very very good. An awesome true Wisconsin fish fry with great meal and very reasonable pricing. Drinks were also very good and friendly atmosphere, indoor and outdoor dining options, also kid friendly.
