“Very busy when we got there, around 635. Not a bad thing at all! Bartenders were right on cue. I had a drink within 5 minutes, and we placed our order within 10 minutes. Food came out quick! Took about 8 minutes for our appetizer, and 15 for our food. Not bad at all for the amount of people that were there. Food was fantastic. Cooked to perfection.They have a gravel driveway, but have a paved section for motorcycles only. Which is fantastic, given we brought the bike today! Could be bigger, but no complaints since I was the only one who parked there!! A+ guys, I will be back for sure!“
“There was a sign as we walked in "Worst food I've ever eaten" Review on Yelp...It was a JOKE based off of some idiot because the Friday Fish was AWESOME!!!! HUGE JUICY SHRIMP!! Thick and juicy perch and haddock, perfectly cooked baked potato. My gf is hard to please and she even said 9+ out of 10. The only thing was the coleslaw had a late vinegary taste. But we loved it!! It's a bar, kinda loud. Prices were good. We will go again and bring friends/family.“
“I think The Black Otter is a solid 4… the food was pretty good, salad bar was good, drinks were good… didn’t blow my socks off but it was good… we were here on a Friday night and it was crazy packed… met the owner Bob and he is an incredibly nice guy and all the workers in the restaurant were super nice. “Very nice bar/grill. This was my first time there. I ordered a Reuben which they made with a hamburger instead of corbed beef. I probably didn't read the menu closely but it was delicious. It was quite chilly in this establishment. My husband had fish which he said was awesome.“
“Stopped for lunch on our way to Milwaukee. Great location on the water. Were seated right away at a table by a window. Our server was prompt and friendly. Menu had lots of options. I got a burger and my sister had fish. Restaurant also offered a salad bar with soup. Several others ordered it and all looked good as they came by our table. Lovely break for our road trip.“

“Our second time there is the past couple of months. Once for lunch and tonight for fish. Both times the meals were great. Friday fish (the cod had the most wonderful, light beer batter breading) was wonderful. Once again we were met by one of the most personable people - Mary. She's right there to greet us, pays attention to our "specific" drink choices and to our orders. Service was quick and Hot - thanks also to the Chef. But hats off to Mary for remembering us and being very friendly. The bar was full and noisy but the overall atmosphere is great - it's a landmark and I hope it continues to do a thriving business. Mary seems to wear many hats but handles it well. We'll definitely be back.“
“Oh, I love Charlie’s. The food is great way better than almost all of the fast food drive-ins in the area. The prices are so reasonable and when you get a burger, it’s a burger.!!! one of the top places on my list to go keep it up guys!!!“
