Tacos el Norte is our go-to on Tuesdays. Everything on the menu is good and flavorful. The staff is very friendly and it's family-run. We never have to wait very long for our food and they always get our food order right. They even suggested things for us to try off the menu, and they didn't disappoint.
Dine-in or take-out, we are so happy to have found this place. Don't let the strip mall area fool you, this is a gem
Not only is this some of the best Mexican food, let alone food in general I’ve ever had, the staff were so kind!! The interior and painted beautifully and it’s relatively simple. Great food for an even better price!
I know this place cause I been around Illinois, it’s familiar. Anywho, made a weird request on a food service app. Instead of a meat taco, I asked for shrimp.
What did I get? No confusion, no phone calls. I got a taco, American style, with shrimp.
Exactly what I wanted.

Tacos El Norte offers a variety of equally yummy options, including steak tacos, fish taco, el pastor taco, churizo taco, burrito, traditional carne asada tacos, ground beef tamales with ranchero sauce, carné asada burrito, and enchiladas. The food is always excellent, and the red hot sauce and salsa are enjoyed. Service is great every time, with super friendly staff checking to make sure everything is good. The environment is inviting, with an interior featuring a hand painted mural of beautiful scenery. Prices are pretty good. The Horchata is to die for. This is the Kenosha go-to for authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price that has never disappointed.
