I have lived nearby here for around 10 years and I never knew what I was missing out on. Castaways is a far too hidden gem. Before I went in, I expected this too be like a supper club or a bar but boy was I wrong. It was so much more than that. We had dinner. They served tasty Friday night fish, shrimp, risotto and brussel sprouts. Our server was top notch! They were attentive, friendly and all had a good sense of humor.Please stop in to Castaway's on the Island in La Crosse, WI, for good drinks, dinner and general merriment. Salut ~

Had dinner last night at Castaway’s on French Island! It was $4 martini night so of course I had to stop by! I got the special: Ribeye with creamy horseradish, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. It was delicious! For dessert, I got the chocolate lava cake. Amazing! Afterwards, I went across the street to Tom Sawyer’s for a drink with a view. The food, drinks, and service at both of the restaurants were all amazing and I will definitely be going back soon!
