“This was an accidental find on a beautiful Friday evening. So fish fry it was! They have a variety of fish fry options. We ordered the Family Fish Fry Platter! Yummy! It came with 10 big pieces of fried cod and a huge platter of French fries. It automatically comes with a large tub of Cole slaw but we opted for the salad option. The salad was a bed of leafy spring greens which is waaaaay better then the average iceberg you get at other places. The fish was fried but not overly greasy and the fries were seasoned pretty well. They had a variety of seating options both indoor and outdoor. They also have an enclosed/outdoor bar area. They have a very interesting menu as well. We wanted the fish fry but also noticed a few things we'd like to try in the future. Definitely give this place a try!“
“What a great small town Cafe! The food was excellent and the atmosphere very cozy. It seemed like a great place to meet the locals and have conversations about the history of the area! I will definitely come back! I ordered the French toast meal and had to take half of it home it was so much food!“
“I wasn’t expecting a good vegan option as someone traveling in from the city, this place took everyone at my table by surprise. The soup of the day and the sweet potato fries were delectable! The vegan mushroom patty was so flavorful and the fact it was prepared/made in house blew our minds! “Great food! A gem in the Driftless. Burgers are the best around. The pizzas on wood-fired pizza night are not only as good as anyplace including Naples and Chicago, but they really create some unique flavors. Have a decent wine selection too. Always some good local microbrews in the fridge. Highly recommend!“
“This is our second visit in a week, we came for the chicken and dumplings on Wednesday and back for the fish fry today. On both occasions the food was delicious, hot and a good value. The service was friendly and excellent, thanks Bryanne (not sure of spelling) and Jane. Randy the co-owner is very personable and welcoming. Will definitely be back.“

“I've ate here several times and is my favorite when I'm visiting a friend. Prime rib buffet Saturday nights is inexpensive and very good.i love the hamburgers. They make them fresh and are huge. Cooked to perfection and tomatoes, lettuce and onion are fresh. French fries are very good also. They offer a salad bar that has all fresh ingredients. I've had breakfast their in the past and never disappointed. . It is located next to a campground. I highly recommend this place. Say hi to Bill when you stop in.
