“If I could give Whirlybird more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. This little gem of a coffee shop has easily become my all-time favorite. I started going a couple months after they opened, originally drawn in by their coffee flights (which are a must-try if you haven't already!), and little did I know I'd soon be driving 20+ minutes on the regular just to get my fix. At this point, I go so often they know me by name! Liz, the owner, is genuinely one of the kindest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met. You can tell how much heart she’s poured into Whirlybird, and her team of girls? Absolutely fantastic. She’s created such a fun and welcoming environment, and her team is just as incredible. Every single person there is friendly, upbeat, and makes the experience that much better. They genuinely make you feel like you're part of their little coffee shop family. Their drinks are consistently amazing — creative, seasonal, and always something new to look forward to. I love it so much that I even buy their coffee to take home because nothing else compares. And the food? SO good. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful. I truly have nothing negative to say about Whirlybird. My only wish? That they’d open a location in Eau Claire — I’d be there every single day. Whirlybird isn’t just a coffee shop. It’s a whole experience — one that keeps me coming back time and time again.”

“I have been going to Altoona family for years over a decade at least and when my son was in an accident in 2022 the owners made sure we were taken care of when we ate there, special pancakes with sprinkles and whip cream. Now today I went there with my son and I ordered my usual and the owner paid for my meal.. This restaurant surely is amazing and all over the best family restaurant in our area and Im not just saying this because of a free meal. Everytime I go there she (the owner ) is always talking to me asking me how I am doing just like a family catching up, plus the service great food and prices is why I will continue to go back time and time again and support such an amazing family! thank you for all that you and your staff do!”

He was also kind enough to store our desserts, and have them ready for us to pick up on his day off, outstanding customer service! “Stopped by on a freezing cold day, took the pilot brewery tour rather than going out in the cold. It was really nice, beer samples and fireplace kept things toasty. Pretzel was good, very very spicy mustard! Very limited food selection unless the food trucks are there but great atmosphere.”

I’m a vegetarian and there’s plenty of options so I was very happy about that!. I had the mango lassi the flavor was so fresh! After our meal I had the hot chai very flavorful! “We just returned from there, My wife sister and I all in our 80's and 90 . Just great meal, salad bar and other food. The most impressive thing about our experience was the service. The place was just a bustling,,, the bar was nearly full and while we were being served and eating,,, people kept coming, The staff kept up with it all. The waitress was fast and efficient,,, and extremely personal and friendly. I saw no hint of people waiting, nor any delays,,,,, Just constant quick service,,, with smile and attitude. .. Great.. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere,,,,,,, is the bar room is a bit noisy,,,,,,,,, but a lot of people drinking and talking,,, what do we expect. Talking and laughing... so OK”
