Max's Bistro & Bar is a Mexican Seafood restaurant with a small bar in front, perfect for a quick happy hour drink. The menu offers a variety of seafood options that are hard to find elsewhere. The mussels were large and delicious, while the calamari had a tasty batter and flavorful dipping sauce. The pulled chicken tacos were seasoned with Mexican spices, though the rice was plain. The spice level overall is low, more like Midwest Nice. The setting is nice with wood floors and a tin ceiling, and the service is friendly and attentive. The jalapeño margarita was great, and the entrees like buzo tacos, vegetarian fajitas, and swordfish were tasty and filling. However, there was a slight issue with the inaccurate pricing of some dishes. Despite this, Max's Bistro & Bar is a great place to dine and enjoy delicious food.
