📍 Madison just got a new cozy corner — Ellipse Coffee & Crepe opened on State Street and I had to check it out. The inside? Modern wood + marble, warm lighting, and a dessert case that’s basically a trap.
I went for a strawberry matcha latte (yes, the pink + green beauty in the pics 🤤). I’ve tried them all up and down State Street, and this one is the winner — creamy, gorgeous, and just different enough to stand out.

Ellipse Coffee & Crepes offers wonderful crepes that look even better in person, with great taste and beautiful presentation on iron cast skillets. The pistachio crepe is especially delicious—soft, nutty, and creamy, topped with a scoop of ice cream. While the food is excellent, the use of plastic cutlery and single-use cups detracts from the overall experience. Prices are a bit high, but the quality makes it worth a visit.
