Taj Indian Restaurant

I finally decided to try Taj for a work lunch today. I was expecting to order off the menu, but they actually didn't present us the option. I'm not sure whether or not you can order off the menu for weekday lunch, or if the buffet is the only option. Luckily there were lots of vegan options on the buffet - I just had to ask a server, who checked with the chef to see which vegetable dishes were vegan. I've been here a few times now. Their tikka masala is pretty legit. They have pretty standard everything else. Most recently and what prompted me to write this review I ordered the tandoori chicken. It's definitely different from most of the other Indian restaurants I've been to and not in a good way. The chicken was bland, dry, and for $12, you didn't get a lot. It was boneless cubes of chicken that was hardly seasoned or grilled and it just didn't make the cut IMO. It's an alright...read full review

Each time we have come here the food is fine but service is incredibly slow. I'm not sure if it is because they Seem to do a lot of takeout, but whatever the reason is, it should not take anywhere near as long as it did to even take our order. When the food did finally arrive, appetizers and main meal all came together. Food is alright, not terrific but not too bad.
