The Broken Spur at the Lodge is probably the nicest place to eat in Mauston. It's a little expensive, but you get very good food served in generous portions. I recommend the steaks and the fish fry specials. The little plate of cheese curds, pickled herring, and crackers at the beginning of the meal is also appreciated.
Make reservations.Kayla service was amazing and spot on.the food was amazing, amazingly priced and place was very busy. Crab legs were well worth it this time and 1 ibs was like $3x. So well priced. Prime rib amazing quality. Kids meals were priced great.I've seen other places lately Sky rocket kids meal prices cause they know u don't have much of a choice but I respect the places they don't. Great place! Love this hotel and restaurant. Food is delicious, rooms very clean, and restaurant staff (Jill at the bar and Danielle in the restaurant) are well versed in the menu and drinks. Northwoods decor fits the area and makes for a relaxing stay. Really a gem of a place for families and business travelers!
