“What a delightful surprise! If you haven't been to Mazomanie to Iron Hop Taphouse, it's time! What a cool vibe and great food and beer. We stopped after a hike and had the best Chicago dog and brat charcuterie board. You can try all the tap beers and/or cider with your Pour Card. Some great Wisconsin choices on tap. We'll be back for the Salvatore pizza pies soon! Loved the games and welcoming crew.”

I've been many other places where they would have said we're closed or had an attitude while the served us, but Devin was kind and made us grrat sandwiches. Thank you Devin!”

“I stopped in for the Wednesday Night Wing Special (10 wings for $10!!) and was NOT disappointed! I'm not usually a fan of smoked meat but they knocked it out of the park with these wings! The wings were a mix of drummies and wings and they were a lot larger than I expected based on the price! Such a great value!! They also have very fun and friendly staff, too!”

“As we celebrate National Heritage Hispanic Month, I call our attention to La Mexicana, my favorite Mexican restaurant located in Sauk City, Wisconsin. You can eagle watch when seated at a nearby public park area and have fantastic food all at the same time. Years ago, James and I stopped in and the first thing we noticed was the family all are a part of this establishment. I have watched the young boys grow and mature into fine young teenagers. A couple weeks ago I ordered food and as it was being prepared to go—still do not eat inside restaurants due to COVID virus—I watched a boy wipe down each menu that had been used by the public after spritzing it with a cleaning agent. That regard for their customers along with their tasty creations makes me glad to tip heartily and return often.”

“Hands down the best Chinese I have had in Wisconsin. Maybe the best I have had outside of NYC. The Moo Shu Pork is beyond amazing. I literally order between $100-$180 worth of carryout everytime I order from them... Just so I can eat it for a week straight. Flavors are on point. The meat is always tender. The vegetables always have the right balance of crunch/tenderness. The sauces are not overly sweet, which is not the case with most Chinese spots. Their "special menu" always hits the spot. And the staff?... Incredibly friendly and accommodating. The kitchen staff is constantly checking the buffet to ensure it is fresh. I mainly order carryout, but the few times I had the buffet, I was more than happy with my meal. Seriously, eat at Number 1 Kitchen. You won't be sorry.”

It's a perfect place to stop in for lunch, coming off the bike trail. The patio has beautiful views of the WI River. I hope to be back someday.”

“Our seating was opposite of the bar near the entryway and the partition wall greatly isolated the bar racket. We ordered the NY strip and the slow roasted prime rib. Fries, scalloped potatoes, and chili were sides. The fries had been sitting long enough to be only warm, but I could tell when they were fresh they would have had a good subtle crisp. The scalloped potatoes and chili were great. The NY was seasoned well and was perfectly cooked to medium. The 24-hour slow roasted prime rib (Saturdays) was very tender, though the flavor could have been better. The aus jus saved it and was good. We decided to also order the desserts of a grasshopper (one of the best I've had) and cheesecake. This was house made pumpkin cheesecake and was of a generous portion. My wife and I would eat here again. We might have to come back sooner than expected for more chili! Keep an eye out for drunk townies. Some dude in his 60's with a group thought it was a good idea to quickly fake lunging out in front of my car as I was pulling in. It was 5pm. Bro, you gotta live long enough to get SSI and your AARP card. Be less stupid.”
