I can't believe I have never written a review for the fantastic East Garden! I discovered this restaurant while attending grad school at UWM - it was recommended to me one day when I had to fulfill my never ending craving of Chinese food. This was over 10 years ago now, and I have been a repeat customer since. The best Chinese food in Milwaukee. We love celebrating special occasions with take-out. Staff is always friendly, food is always delicious, and I appreciate all of their vegetarian offerings. Can't recommend the Sesame Bean Curd enough.

This is a great family owned restaurant. The menu ranges from common Chinese comfort foods, to items that you don't regularly see. I especially like the preserved pork with vegetables. I have experienced both eating at the restaurant, and ordering takeout or pickup. The added bonus of eating at the restaurant (pre-Covid) was their delightful lychee cocktails. I recommend supporting this local gem.
