The Tap Yard is a nice outdoor spot for a drink on the Milwaukee River. It sits in the corner of a parking lot, but they've done a little to make it feel pleasant, like adding AstroTurf and a few umbrellas. I might even give it five stars if it offered more shade—we arrived on a hot, sunny day to find that only about a dozen or so of the seats are in shade (and all of those were taken.)
Hung out here with the Irreverent Warriors foundation great outside setup
Nice spot, right along the river.

Located in Schlitz Park, The Tap Yard is a beer garden with a vast selection of local and beyond beers on tap. The bartender is kind, attentive, and helpful, with reasonable prices and no wait times. The seating area is spacious, offering fun lawn games like giant Jenga, Connect Four, and bags, as well as bathrooms with a key. Enjoy local snacks, music, and yard games while taking in the views of the river in downtown Milwaukee. With plenty of parking, The Tap Yard is a great spot to relax with friends.
